A Sakura-centric finale. Surprising since I had expected Nemu to have more air time in the final ep. After all, she is the heroine of the series. Nevertheless it was a good ep and a satisfying though simplistic end. Yet another ep that affirms Sakura's undying love for Mr Onii san. But Sakura managed what she could not in the last 6 eps: To totally erase her innermost desire to do away with Nemu. All it took was a hug from Jyunichi. In my opinion, the embrace is most powerful physical device used to connect 2 human hearts. One can argue for kissing or making love but I guess there's a sensual component to those and I personally feel that the strongest emotions often are disconnected from sexuality. (ok, save maybe for jealousy :p) Anyhowz, Sakura goes away, Nemu recovers from amnesia and gets the bro. Good use of "Onii-chan" and "Nii-san" to distinguish the 2 Nemus. And so the series opens with Sakura arriving in their lives and it also ends with Sakura leaving. Honestly it had been a surreal 26 eps. Plenty of meandering in the first 15 eps and most of the side stories are just plain weird. It is really a series for D.C. fans. Many of the eps felt like an anime idol special. But I thoroughly enjoyed it. I guess I'm a convert now too It's been a fun and emotional series with some very very beautifully sad moments. I will always rem Yuriko's departure in ep 22 as one of the finest moment in anime.
