I wouldn't have believed the 2 studios (Genco and J.C. Staff) responsible for Azumanga Daioh have once again collaborated to give us Daphne. That is not to say that Daphne is a bad series. In fact I think it's more promising than Mezzo and even Chrno Crusade. Just that the violence and mind-blowing costumes are, to put it mildly, very un-Azumanga like. (Then again, what am I talking about?!?! The same 2 studios gave us Ikkitousen!?!??! Urrghh! Now I know where the costumes design came from.)

Despite the not-very-slick action animation, the story is shaping up to be quite alrite. A new char, Yuu is introduced as a no-nonsense, ass-kicking bondag... i mean, ice queen. And yes, I not going to touch on her costume. It literally warps the mind. (though wraps her body.) I must say that the laws of physics does permit it to be worn that way. The chars they introduce seem to get more and more violent indeed. Well, now that the team is complete, I would expect the main thrust of the story to kick in. Looking forward to the main plot next ep and also a bigger budget to improve their action scenes.
