Midori no hibi 01

Upon hearing the premise of the series, I had resolved not to touch it with a ten foot pole. I mean a girl as your right hand sounds as lame as the mind-blowing Bobobo-bo Bo-bobobo . However, the resolve was slowly eroded away by the flavourable buzz (of the first ep) from the anime blogsphere. So, while skeptical and fully expecting to cringe at the absurdity of the series, I plunged into ep 1. And boy, was it 1 x enjoyable ride! My uncontrollable laughter could be heard deep into the dark night as I journeyed through the hilarious ep. I didn't find it as incredulous as I thought I would and was thoroughly won over by the witty dialogue and Seiji's exaggerated mental expressions. But it's not all laughs too. Midori is as sweet as fanboys would like their girls to be (with a little fanservice throw in, no less) and there was a certain quality of her voice that I found really endearing. No surprises when a check on Animenewsnetwork revealed her seiyuu to be Nakahara Mai san (also seiyuu of Yamase Chihaya ~Anime char of March~) Nakahara san has now fomally joined the ranks of Horie Yui and Kawasumi Ayako on my fav seiyuu charts.

I'm now really keen to see how Seiji survives with a right hand that can cook/bake cookies instead of one that pummels bullies and has been 'servicing' as his gf for 17 yrs (quote from the anime itself, feminist pls don't flame me :p).
