Maria-sama ga miteru 12-13
The final 2 eps were a little anti-climatic after the powerful ep 11. Nevertheless, it was a fitting end as we see ALL the couples achieve some sort of milestone in their relationships. I noticed since ep 10, the series has been a lot more overt in their portrayal of romantic love between the girls. Hugs, arm-tugging and jealousy aplenty in these last 2 eps to affirm that. (Could it be that the shoujo-ai fans threatened to boycott Marimite if they didn't get to see some real shoujo love love soon?
)
Despite its low key ending, I found myself reminiscing over my first date and first phonecall (to a girl I was interested in) years ago. And it dawned upon me how Marimite did such a wonderful job of depicting the girls' struggles/apprehension that it manged to invoke my sealed, distant memories. Yes, I feel more in touch with my feminine side already.
