Madlax 01
Ok seriously, the stylish fighting was a little too much for me. The constant posing with guns before the enemy was just too out-of-this-world. And even though I'm a big fan of Kajiura Yuki's works, I also found the music bombastic. I'm beginning to understand what fellow bloggers mean by "overscored music". Yes, it was still good but kind of an overkill. Well, despite all that, I enjoyed ep 1 cos I'm really fascinated by Madlax. She seems to have some issues (yes mental ones). The spaghetti question which she asked herself twice, made me quite uncomfortable. It somehow reminded me of people who constantly needed to wash their hands. She also have something which operatives like herself should never have: A heart. Assasins with that simply don't last long in the trade. In fact Madlax is quite the nice girl, albeit a lonely one who yearns for something as simple as a date.
Knowing Bee Train, their female leads always come in pairs (ok, I cheated, I inferred from the OP sequence
). Looking forward to more interesting characters and the deepening of Madlax's.
