PINK HAIR RULEZ! For some unknown reasons, pink hair anime chars have always won my affections. It started with Lacus (Gundam SEED), Yuuna (Maburaho, for the initial eps at least) then on to Kohaku/Hisui (Shingetsutan Tsukihime, not strictly pink but pink enough ). Now maybe 'bad' girls are just more exciting... I like Ms Yami (Hikari's alter-ego, complete with PINK HAIR!) more than Hikari herself. Her engimatic charm combined with her strong aura of danger make her as irresistable as the flame is to the moth. Yes, she's the kind of girl that makes flirting with death, exciting.

I wished they had more ep 7s for konomini. This is undoubtedly one of the best ep in the series for me. There was PLENTY of character development. Mari, Hikari, Ms Yami and Takeru all had a good slice of screen-time. There's also PLENTY of humour. I was SOOO tickled by Sakurako and Amika's demo-kiss. There was lots of chibi shots which were really suitable for the light and frivolous atmosphere. On top of character development and bikini fun, there was a good bit of fighting sequences. While the action was not very impressive, it was a good break from the intensive character/theme developments characteristic of the past few eps. And finally, Ryou reveals his powers. While Takeru can manipulate and reconstruct parts of his body *Wrath of Fullmetal Alchemist comes to mind* Ryou seem to possess the psionic ability. I wonder if Takeru will have to square off Ryou one day. It's pretty clear from this ep that Akari is totally different from Hikari's embedded alter-ego. Where Akari was pained by the monster's destruction, Ms Yami was the one who utterly vapourised the monster in ep 1. If Light and Darkness (postulate still awating confirmation) clash later in the series, it might be Ryou (for Akari) vs Takeru (for Hikari). Psionics vs Organic/Inorganic Alchemy. That would be interesting to watch.
