Mai Otome 06

Light on plot but good on character development, this episode was very important in shaping my views of the series - firstly I found Nina much more likeable just as the previous episode caused me to find Arika quite lovable despite my initial non-enthusiasm. Really funny to see how easily Arika gets under Nina's skin. AA-RII-KAA!!!

Secondly, sweet sweeeeet yuri pouring from SUNRISE like manna from the heavens!!! *laps it all up* ~slurp~ ~slurp~ ~SLUUUUURRPPP~ Go, Erstin-chan!!!

Thirdly, like Kurogane, I felt that Nao was awesome - loner girl FTW! I was a Nao fanboy in Mai HiME and felt rather sorry that she got stomped on and shafted the most, aside from Akane. Bonus points for stomping on Annoying- Little-Twat- Redeemed -as -Comedy-Villian Shiho. Also see Omni for more comprehensive screencaps and summary.

Awww... Erstin-chan is so cute when she's being coy. "You shouldn't do that [i.e. touch my butt]. Since we're fellow girls. But if it's you, Nina-chan... [it's ok.]"

Nina is probably upset that she got her first "kiss" from Erstin-chan rather than Sergey? What's wrong with you, girl!? And Erstin realises that Nina doesn't feel the same way about her. I'll cheer for you, Erstin-chan!

I liked how they've kept the basic form of Nao's Element from Mai HiME - her red "claws" in the previous episode and her web-threads now upgraded with extra cutting, slicing and dicing power! Always liked her poise when she fights, it's menace, grace and conscious sexiness combined.
