Birth and Rebirth ~ A Kashimashi MEGAMI treat

Today the anime blogsphere celebrates not only the rebirth of Zyl's blog into "Hontou ni sou omou" (Three cheers for AAA members!). We also celebrate his birthday.

And since he is so far away (read: expensive postage), I have specially prepared a cheaper alternative suitable gift that transcends distance. Ah the power of cyberspace.....

Well since he hosts my blog it's his big day, I suppose I should suck up to him occasionally lest he deletes my entries say a few words about my long-time pal and anime comrade.

Despite our many differences in worldviews/metanarratives, we share a fierce passion for women beauty and the 'visual arts'. I'll always remember when I was playing Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, my male friends fell distinctly into 2 groups. One group kept pressing me for nude scenes (there are none) while another tsk-ed tsk-ed me for playing such an 'obscene' game. My dear brother was the only one, having the fine appreciation of all things beautiful, who sat down with me to painstakingly choose hairpin/sandals/hats because we wanted our beloved Ayane look her best. And despite how we have very different tastes in women, we do end up liking the same girls in anime/games fairly often.

Of course our passion for anime did take us down different paths. Zyl has since 'graduated' to yuri while siscon animes seem to find their way onto my viewing list. However, for the sake of our tender bottoms, we have a pact not to dabble in anything with loli-prefixes.

Well, I hope that's enough lip service to keep my blog 'safe' for another year? Anyhow, here's wishing you a GREAT birthday brother! And many more returns to your blog!
