Flames of the Animeblogosphere

Infinite fandom stopped beating its heart,
And anime series burnt away without making a sound,
Not a soul notices as fans become dislocated
and all is engulfed in the flames of the animeblogosphere.

Bit of a whimsical post as a result of Jason evoking the Main Office telegram to revoke Stripey's siscon license. Like Ender, I wondered who heads the Main Office and what a fearful thing it would be if there's someone else who is even more siscon than Stripey! As the consensus seems to be that Stripey will need to watch Sister Princess and Repure to consolidate his grip on the title of King of Siscon (with Flame Haze, The Caller of Niisan, Nemu Asakura), the "Main Office" seems more to be a democratic sort of recognition extended to various tomogara animebloggers as Guze no Ou genre specialists than a centralised administration or Yggdrasil system.

Of course, no one disputes Matthew's claim to the throne of the Kingdom of Kawaii. (Current Flame Haze: Futago Hime) And certainly anyone who wants a grounding in the basic theory and practice of the yuri anime blogging license would do well to peruse Okazu where the Hierophant of the Lilies, Erica Friedman, holds court. (Current Flame Haze: Haruka Tenou?)

Speed-blogging licensees would obviously look to the Omniscient Pinnacle, wielding his Unrestricted Spells of WinNY use, Raw Blogging and Day of Broadcast Updating and sporting a certain randomly curious Yotsuba as his Flame Haze.

Despite a recent coup d'etat, the Namako Masque remains the model holder of the group anime blog license. Using his Administrator powers, Thousand Puns Kabitzin regained control almost too easily - without even resorting to his orz-inducing puns (e.g. "Hina Ichigo loves iPod nano!", "Saber toothed Taiga"). Ender, the Arbiter of Witty Reviewing, continues to plot to take over the undersea fortress of the Seaslugden no doubt. Not often seen, Kungfucius still emerges, from time to time, out of the green-blue flames of grad school contemplation to post on really loooooong series.

I imagine that one of the spurs of this post, Jason Miao, has his own unique Meido Manipulators of Meronpan Flame Haze trio as he goes about setting the bar for unabashed fanboyism and specializing in such Unrestricted Spells as Rankings, Op-Eds, Retrospectives and Comparatives in addition to the usual repertorie of episode by episode posts.

Despite withdrawing from the animeblogosphere after pioneering many Unrestricted Spells such as Shitload of Screencaps, Ero-casuation Mosaic, Ero Captioning and Doujin Headline Images, Moyism the Merchandise Retriever is still probably the only animeblogger to fulfill that anime blog quality rating criteria for +5 points if blogger has become a verb, i.e. "to moy". (Though personally a possible addition would be: "to miao" as "extreme fanboying about nekomimi meido".)

Of course, the list is not comprehensive - merely what I thought might be fun if I matched up several bloggers that I regularly read with the various Guze no Ou in Shakugan no Shana. March on, my anime blogging brothers, sisters and non-humanoids as our posts maintain the animeblogosphere's power of existence! (Btw this last screencap has got nothing to do with the rest of this post but I just wanted to post it since I think it's cute.)
