Fate/Stay Night 16

By the power of moé, awkward romance and Caliburn_save_as_a_copy, we will punish you!

Game CG. Actually I prefer this version. (;^_^)

Anime and

Game CG versions. Nipples FTW.

Saber fan service.

On top of the bath scene which showcased Saber's "Rin is cuter than me" insecurity, we had cute Saber jealousy as she slams the plates onto the bartop at the memory of loli competition...

... turning her back on Shirou as soon as he regained consciousness, her outbursts against Ilya during Berserker Breakfast time and deciding that if she can't expel the loli from the harem, she can at least assert seniority over her.

This dream sequence bothered me a lot for two reasons. Firstly, Saber seems to be an extremely isolated King, surrounded as she is by a really shifty-eyed bunch. Secondly and more importantly, I'm confused by Shirou and Saber's discussion of this scene at the end of the episode in the Summoning Shack. I had assumed that this was just Shirou seeing bits of Saber's past like in Ep 13. But then Saber says that as servants don't dream, it was Shirou's dream about his past. Did I misunderstand something here?? If the above is correct (and the dream is not from Saber's POV but someone watching Saber...), then that would imply that Shirou was with Saber during her reign as King? Would that make Shirou someone like Merlin??

I just had this feeling that Sakura was aware that she was being watched as she turned to reveal her face in Caster's crystal ball... Ever more scary and ominous, the Queen of Blades. *shiku shiku shiku* And yes, ladies and gentlemen, is the sound of Stripey crying because of the post-Kaede trend (helped by Evil Kazumi in Shana-tan) of how we all suspect that all the sweet, quiet, domestic harem girls are really homocidal psychopaths. LOL

Hi, new guy here, I just started reading you blog a few weeks ago.
Regarding the dream, it is a bit confusing, but I was under the impression that Saber was not seeing that dream. When she starts talking about seeing Shirou’s dream, it shows Shirou’s burning city and she claims that she understand’s him a bit more. People can have multiple dreams when they sleep, so perhaps Shirou had both dreams, but that was the one Saber saw. While it is certainly possible that Shirou is a reincarnation of someone from King Aurthur/Arturia’s time, I wonder if perhaps Shirou was just dreaming about Saber’s past.
Again, this is just my impression based on watching the episode. I actually like your idea better.
Oh, and Skane, you really should check out Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni. This show was made for you. Its like an entire series of Psycho Kaede.

Ah, that makes much more sense now. Thanks!

I think it’s just an awkward translation. Shirou is having dreams of Saber’s past, but she’s been getting visions of his own past in return.

It really doesn’t help psycho-loli (of Higurashi) makes bento and walks male lead to school…. looks like the Kaede syndrome is here to stay… shiku shiku…..

Just watched the first episode of Higurashi, and I have exactly one complaint to make.
I feel it was wrong of them to show the deaths of the two girls in the opening scene. It robs the viewer of potential suspense since the viewer now knows what the outcome will be.
Unless… they miraculously revive and become psycho zombies or something…
It is hard to cheer the girls on when you know that they are going to die.
Regardless… I love the scenes in the OP.

Skane, according to the bunch in animesuki who has play the game. There is much much more to it then what they show so far. They haven’t finish releasing all the different parts of the game yet. So the ending is still up in the air.

Just watched the second episode of Higurashi and I am starting to go goo-goo-ga-ga over Rena. ^_^
Aww… I just want to cuddle her when she went angry.
I think it was a great pity that the producers could not get a bigger budget for this, because thus far, I think it deserves it. I found an image of Rena that was beautiful, but I do not know whether it is an official art or a fanart.
Feel The Love Emanating From Her
I now have a crazy speculation about the opening scene of Ep01.
Due to certain conversations in Ep02, I came up with a theory. Maybe Keichii was under the influence of a poisonous drug and during his hallucinations, he beat up two people whom he thought were Rena and Mion. To add spice to it, maybe he ended up clubbing his parents dead.
Yes, I am being a bastard here. I rather Keichii club his parents than Rena. Mion pending.
Maybe that is the reason why the townfolks don’t talk about the murders, because the culprits were all under the influence of drugs or some sort of mind-altering poison. Maybe it is the people that disappeared that did it! And the townfolks are hiding them to keep it a secret and to protect them too.
At this point, I am hoping Rena will get to live to the end.

It is too bad that the regular blogs I visit are not blogging this series.
From BlogSuki, all the blogs reviewing this series were unknown to me. I have nothing against them, but I am trying to minimise the number of AnimeBlogs I keep track of.
I currently track 13, and that is a lot to me since reading AnimeBlogs is not the only thing I do in my free time.

;_; Kind of sad that Sakura gets referred to as a Kaede clone when she came first and Kaede never actually murdered anyone.

Well, the Shuffle! anime aired before Fate/Stay Night. And their game versions by Navel and TYPE-MOON respectively were both released on the same day (2004-01-30).

Wow, skane. You’re awfully one track minded about Rena.
Very creepy, but yet, befitting to the mood of this thread.
