Venting rant ~ I need my June figure fix!

It's been 3 months since I pre-ordered Dark Saber, 2 months since my first figure purchase and 1 month since the last figure buy. No thanks to Dark Saber's delay, I wouldn't be getting my June figure fix. Arrghh! The agony.. trust me, it's worse than 15 nails driven through your fingers (And no, my very recent completion of Figure 17 ~ Tsubasa and Hikaru doesn't count.) So in lieu of actual figures, I'm putting up portraits of the lovely ladies whose shining destiny is to join Stripey's figure harem come late July and September (Yes, I pre-ordered them).

Of course just basking in their digital glory is insufficient to sate my gnawing figure needs. So I'm been scouring amiami and previous Japanese figure events to scout for possible harem candidates for the remainder of 2006. There were MANY worthy figures. Unfortunately, I'm just one man and much as I would like to start a figure-styled Hontou-ni Meido-taihen desu, there's a limit to how much juice (here I mean money) one has. So I've limited to 4 figures that I'm really REALLY hoping some company who pick up for mass production.

That both are meido figures IS a coindence. Ok maybe I have something for Kawasumi Ayako's avatars... in nice french frilly outfits and aprons.... BUT I don't have a meido fetish! :P

Fate TestarossaTakamachi Nanoha

Now that's what I call a great pose! Especially Nanoha's battle stance.... uber coolness.... I even tried it out with a broom and I could feel the raging in my heart. Even if the pricetag is participation in Watanagashi as sacrifice, I'm sure it'll be sold out in a day. This is sure one figure worth losing your intestines over.

Now to pray to Oyashiro sama to curse companies who wouldn't pick up at least one of these fantastic figures.

    Ah… yes, you DO have a meido fetish. :D Just look at all the series you’ve blogged or reviewed to date – there’s always at least one maid in there, if not two or more… and there are many Saber figures, but you happened to pick the meido Saber, which never appears anywhere in game (not the main game anyways) for her representation here.

    You have it bad. ;)

    To quote Yuuko Ichihara of xxxHOLiC, there is no such thing as coincidence. There is only hitsuzen. Has there been a non-H anime that combines a character who is a full-time maid and has a thing for her niisan? LOL

    People who don’t have a meido fetish…wouldn’t enjoy ‘He Is My Master’ since it’s full of lovely maids…i def. didn’t watch it for that reason…

    Well…stripey is a god here, he gets what he wants just like when haruhi crosses her fingers, lol. So yeah, no coincidence, only the inevitable outcome due to a simple thought.

    I’ve been noticing some pretty sweet figures about in various blogs, and have been considering getting involved in the hustle myself.. but what sort cashola are we looking at, for the average figurine fix? One (or at least me) wouldn’t assume it to be a cheap hobby anyway.

    And do you have to scour all over the place for the beauties, or can you just hit up a few friendly international retailers for all the goods?

    Haesslich: LOL! “hitsuzen” ka? Ok the most I would admit is I have something for meido-esque costumes. Note subtle but important difference… :)

    Zyl: Ah aniki… I noticed you said non-H anime.. I suppose you know at least one in the h-realm that has meido-siscon? Not that your innocent otouto is interested of course…. Great drawing again for your 2nd installment! Now you just need to stop me from summoning Emma Ai on you. :)

    Hazel: Ah may I add loli-meidos to that. :P The figures for “He’s my Master” are quite lovely. I was contemplating getting Mitsuki but was.. ahem.. veto-ed. I only caught 1 ep of HMM… hmm maybe that’s good evidence I’m no meido-con… May I now present exhibit A to the jury…. :)

    DrmChsr0: Hmmm I don’t rem Nemu in a meido outfit… wait a min! pls refer to Exhibit A…. :)

    Crimson: Woah! Maybe I would have a meido-moelicious commenter asking me what tea I want soon. :P Aww poor fingers… Eruru’s kinda of busy paring fruits for me now.. can I send Mion with her famed therapeutic nails to help? :P

    Crayotic Rockwell: Glad that the Force is beckoning you too! :) I only collect 1/8 PVCs which typically goes for about 4500-5000 yen (~40-44 USD). I check out amiami or hobbystock for the latest commercial releases. For English sites, I check HobbyLink Japan though their info’s a tad slower. Hope this helps! :)

    cyw1988: Hehe ponder no more! Eruru and Feena need more love. :) And yes GSC Saber looks so much better than Alter’s crossed-eyed holiday Saber.+ But I have an aversion to 1/6 figures since it seems harder to get their facial sculpts right (this one looks fine though) and I’ve heard horror stories of many 1/6s doing the Michael Jackson leaning thingy. :P Thanks for the highlight though. :)

    nah i have alot of Faith in goodsmile… they are a pretty good company… the only reason why i have a bone to pick with them is coz they still refuse to reiisue saber in armour!!! :(

    cyw1988: I have to agree with you. :) I looked through their past works and their track record is outstanding. It’s a pity their releases don’t coincide quite with the characters I love.

    Crayotic Rockwell: No worries, most of them would eventually make their way to HobbyLink Japan but you would have to stay on top to things to make sure your pre-order gets through. Welcome to the club! :)

    that fate-chan figure would be a nice addition to teh collection too…

    i just wish that the black saber and the Saber White Simsuit ver. weren’t delayed ;_;

    kablaq: Ah you have your Sabers on pre-order too? :) I have been told that meido-Saber is certainly to come out later this year. I just hope it’s a 1/8 :P

    yes, more moolah would be quite appreciated… sadly, my chances at winning any contests or through gambling is currently at a imbrobability factor which i don’t want to try and compute…

    heh… i was really hoping for the white swimsuit saber last month, but it seems fate is set against such things… as well as it releasing this month DX

    and i really would like that fate fig, if it wasn’t for this… my poor wallet indeed… and i still have to save up for a ps3 when it comes out ;_;

    *wonders if selling his soul to the lords of chaos would give him a good amount of credit with hlj*

    i forgot to mention the physical space constrain in my room. So a mini showcase is out.

    and somehow, my room collects dust easily. So every week, when my mom does a purge (all-out attack on the dusts) in the house, and the figures might suffer.

    muhootsaver: Haha! Thanks for the re-assurance! :) These Mahoro/Saber are the creme de la creme of meido-kind IMO. Keeping fingers crossed that Mahoro gets mass produced.

    kablaq: I suspect the ‘lord of chaos’ is bantering souls to get the figures he wants… LOL! With so many marvelous figures coming out, it’s hard to be prudent with our hard-earned. :P And PS3…wow! Another moolah black-hole there. :)

    @@..: I just checked jp yahoo auctions and unfortunately I don’t see it. You may want to keep an eye here, it may just pop up sometime. Myself, I’m hoping for a massed produced PVC version soon. :)
