Wish-list for new Nanoha project

It's a dream come true.... A big thank you to pkjd for breaking the most uplifting anime news of the week. Ah Fate chan, Hayate chan how I missed thee! Anyhow to celebrate this joyeous revelation, here's my very personal wishlist for the upcoming Nanoha project.

1) A full 13 ep season

I'm not greedy for a 26 parter since Nanoha has worked well with 2 seasons of 13s so far. But please please let it be more than OVAs or worse... movie. (Although one can be sure of the highest production values for the latter.)

2) Lolis are nice but bishoujos are better

Well, the series could pick up from the destruction of the Book of Darkness and proceed with a 10 yr old cast but..... I WANT MY 15 YR OLD FATE/HAYATE CHAN!! Plus, it'll be easier to pimp a series powered by teenaged seifuku bishoujos to non anime-watching peers since enjo kosai enjoys wider acceptance compared to pedo-fare my honorable intentions would be better received with 15 yr olds as opposed to 9+ yr olds.

3) Upgraded costumes

Nanoha and Hayate needs something that's more flattering to nubile 15 yr old physiques to shed restrictive gear that hinders battle response. But Fate can keep her scant light armour to maximise close combat capabilities.

4) Expanded romantic component

To be frank, the love love aspect was never part of Nanoha's strength and its inclusion may prove to be distracting or bring deadweight to the plot. But I CANNOT imagine seeing hormonally-charged 15 yr olds prance onscreen without the intrigue of love. It's... it's just not healthy. Well, if I'm going to be denied romantic aspirations, at least allow for a bashful "Nii-san" from Fate (to Chronos) or that hint of shoujo-ai between Hayate and Reinforce.

5) More of all that was good in Season 2

Engaging music, frantic action, cool battle stances, high production values, coherent plot nekkid henshin sequence are some of the outstanding aspects of Nanoha 2 which I hope the new work will inherit.

Why I like the Nanoha series

Well, there are other smaller desires like seeing Hayate in a hadaka apron or Fate in a meido uniform but let's not sweat the details.

Having expressed high hopes, I feel the need to voice my only concern for the project. Nanoha's cast has grown to become unwieldy with season 2 and it's certainly going to be a challenge to forge new stories and characters on top of the old. Of course, they could just focus on the 3 protagonists but the sizable Vita and Signum fangroups are unlikely to take it lying down. Well, as long as they build a coherent tale and Fate/Hayate get good airtime, I'm a happy tanuki.

Looking forward to more Fate/Hayate loveliness.

    Your futile attempts to try and plead ephebonphilia will avail you not. Two out of three in category four flies in the face of your declaration. We all know that in the Dignified City State of Singapore that you can manuever around the age of consent with a special marriage license.

    Cheating already? For shame I guess Nauzron is going to have a coon-skin cap real soon… :P

    Honorable intentions..LOL an honorable meido-loli-sis-con is like dry water or wooden iron. ;)

    First-time visitor, followed the trackback link from Moetron. This announcement has made my day. While I’ve got my hopes up for a series chronicling the adventures of Nanoha, Fate-chan~, and Hayate in junior high/high school, I won’t be too picky. I’m sure that whatever the Nanoha production team decides to give us, it’ll match up to the standard set by the first two series.

    Nanoha Hentai

    But since that is going to be possible, here is what i will settle for:

    Hot Spring with the grown up ver of the girls.
    More Yuri
    nanoha using her families sword technique.
    Figure out a qay to bring back Alicia so we can have yuri twincest

    Crusader: LOL! Dry water is called ice. :P Like Stripey adores the meido uniform but don’t have a meido fetish…. a subtle but important difference… :P Well I would plead guilty to ephebophilia over pedophelia any day. :)

    Heh, actually I’m with the camp that supports dropping the ”Mahou Shoujo” tag from the title. While we are at that, might as well take out Nanoha since she’s the least hot among the bishoujos in there. I’m not sure what we’re left with though. :P
