Kotobukiya 1/8 seifuku Feena Fam Earthlight

Trust not the words in this review. Because I lack the literary ability to express Feena's indescribable beauty. Trust not the pictures in this post. They are but a poor reflection of Feena's irresistible allure. Trust not your self-restraint when seeing the actual product. For her searing charm will pierce your heart and have you grovelling like an idiot where you stand. Trust not your drinking/football buddies once they set eyes on your Feena. For this little siren will have them mysteriously conjure bottle shards out of your back.

Yes, life will never be the same once you acquire this little hottie.

I know, I have said this 6 times for 6 different figures but this time, it's for real. (Tanuki's honour!) Seifuku Feena is indisputably the most beautiful figure in my collection thus far. And in Stripey's figure economy; Most beautiful = first love. Indeed, Seifuku Feena will have an exalted.. err.. corner in my collection and my undivided devotion (until my next purchase at least... XD)

It's hard to fully quantify the reasons behind my love for this figure but certainly the seifuku has got to be one of the prime factors. The magnificent meld of soothing-pastel colours, moelicious ribbons, azure-blue checkered pleat-skirt and her youthful poise all come together to have Feena exult that girlish exuberance. AugustSoft sure knows how to deck out their eroge goddesses. (Indeed, I remember being in love with the HaniHani seifuku too.)

That this is a very good replicant of our favourite tsuki-hime, Feena Fam Earthlight, has to be the other reason why I'm head over heels with this figure. Just check out her excellent facial sculpt... Feena's silky hair is also very well rendered with a deepening shade of lavender.

I do have a minor complain for this figure though. The paintwork was not perfect. Minor consistencies can be observed upon close scrutiny. And for a goddess like Feena, it's.. it's simply unforgivable. But well since this figure is but a finite vessel encapsulating Feena's limitless loveliness, I understand the physcial contraints. After all, I'm not sure I would survive a full revelation of Feena's divine glory.

Get this figure while you can.

  1. …not to mention the blue-striped panties, eh?

  2. No way! So is it screwed? The skirt is a very nice pattern though. we Need more of these fancy patterned ones.

  3. Steven: Heh I was disappointed too. No shima shima pantsu to satisfy the stripey in me :) It’s tinted blue though… :P

tj han: Yes, it’s screwed on, thanksfully… :) Don’t you wish we had seifuku like that back in JC?

  4. I didn’t know you wore skirts back in JC.

  5. Is the fetish count increasing here? oh my…
i don’t really understand the waist-strap thing or how it works (but the bow behind looks damn nice). There’s also some corset looking stuff in school uniforms in majipuri. Do such things really exist in japan?

  6. Good God man do you even have a walltet left? Or have resorted to robbing banks? Oh wait never mind I don’t want to give you any ideas… :P

  7. Tsubaki: Hi.mi.tsu. desu! LOL!

sam56240: I LOVEEEE that corset thingy and back ribbon too… :) I don’t know enough about real seifukus but the corset piece don’t seem to serve any real purpose except to show off how small one’s waist is, a boast not many can afford. :) So, I doubt it’s being used in RL.

Crusader: I’m not manly enough to rob banks. LOL! I may be resorting to sell my MEGAMI collection very soon… *sob*

  8. Hmmhmm. I remember when I saw this figure far before it was to be released, deffinately one of the nicest one’s out there. Feena’s so cute!

But um, on her corset ribbon thingie, I think it would be a good idea RL. It is a corset after all, and it should make people look skinnier if anything. It pulls the shirt tighter in the font, while if the shirt was baggy someone may look fatter. Sometimes I have to do stuff like that with shirts that are too big for me (damn America and their big shirts, even if the tag says “S”), be it pinning the shirt or sewing up some design.

Oh oh, and you seem knowledgeble in the moe of seifuku. I love designing them, do you have any type of seifuku you’d like to see? I’d dedicate it to you or something. XD

  9. Thanks Tess! That’s really sweet. No need to dedicate anything to me. It’d just be great to see your artwork. :) And I actually know very little about moelicious seifuku. Generally I like them to have ribbons (preferably the slimmer type at the back of Feena rather than the thick one mounted on her chest.. although that has its charms too :P ) Ribbons tied just above the elbow gives me a moe feeling too. Colours are important too. Personally I thought pastel shades are nice with a stronger tone of the same family of colour used in delineating lines that so often guide the edge of their collars or sleeves. Errmm and maybe I’ve been brainwished by anime evil inc but I think short skirts for seifuku’s the way to go. There, my 2 cents. :P

As for the corset, I think not only does it accentuate the waist, it would bring attention to the chest too since it tends to pull the cloth in front way back. As such, one would also need to be suitably endowed to look proportional…. Not sure if I make sense here. XD

Looking forward to your seifuku designs! :)

  10. I had this pre-order until the last moment. HLJ just sent me a payment request, but then I saw that Max Factory was making a figure of her, so I cancelled it. The thing I didn’t like about Koto’s Feena was that I personally think the face/head looks not so good from every angle, but from the front. Plus I got my Yaegashi Kanae figure, she is so moelicious, possibly my favourite figurine.

  11. Oh Kanae is moelicious indeed! :) Ah MacFac’s mizugi Feena is truly something to look forward to. As for Koto Feena, do take a look at the real product if you get the chance. It’s really as moelicious as Kanae if not more and I actually prefer Feena’s eyes to Kanae.

    Just my personal opinion :)

  12. Don’t get me wong, it’s still on my radar. Possibly this month actually, I only have one figure on pre-order that will be released and one that should arrive in the next few days. Who knows…

Oh, here’s my Kanae: http://img219.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc06464qu5.jpg You may have seen it somewhere.

  13. Oh that’s great! Koto Feena’s a great buy, I assure you. :) Ah yess… Kanae.. arrghhh… feel. tempted. buy. her. now. Must. resist……. XD

She’s very well made indeed! That skirt goes soo well with her hair.. (if that made sense.. :P ) I’ll give her a 2nd look then I hit the stores again…. :)

  14. Heh thanks bj0rN for the highlight. :) Actually i know about 1/6 princess garb Feena but still prefer her 1/8 seifuku version. :) Check out Treasureland at CSC. They have both the 1/6 and 1/8 still in stock. You can make a physical comparison there. You may end up buying both though. XD
