    Not sure what is more disturbing if Mr. Stripey’s tongue is seemingly hanging while in pursuit of Gretel or that he appears as if drooling over her corpse… >_>

    Tragedy indeed, Gretel’s demise seems comical now that a tanuki is involved. ;)

    I can imagine the dialogue:

    Greta: Did you see my sweet new bulletproof hat?
    Stripey: Do you think it will work?
    [Death]
    Stripey: Nyorero~n

    It would more like be:

    Gretal getting freedom and Stripey being all moe and happy (despite him liking freedomless sisters?) and the sudden death giving him a Nyoron.

    Bingo! tj_han is absolutely right.

    It’s supposed to follow the structure of the Churuya-san smoked cheese strip in that final link. First panel: Here be smoked cheese. Second: Churuya-san loves smoked cheese. Third: Kyon says Hands Off! Fourth: Nyorero~n (salivating for smoked cheese).
