Preferred Pairings of Fall
11 weeks into Fall series, I figured I better start rooting/praying to Haruhi sama for my favourite couples before the 12/13 parters end (probably with my hopes dashed anyway). It's only one voice but I hope the respective studios would take viewer feedback into account for the finales. Yes, especially J.C Staff. You have 2 weeks to work on that Tetsu X Shouko end.
Anyhow, here's 10 couples I'm supporting this Fall.
Asatte no Houkou - Karada X Hiro
I think I've said enough with this post. Frankly, things aren't looking good for Hiro-nii as of ep 10. Tetsu's worthy but nothing compares with non-blood related sibling love. Here's hoping J.C Staff would SHUFFLE a canvas on us 2.
Code Geass - C.C. X Suzaku
Suzaku is a perfect son-in-law. C.C. is the dream daughter-in-law. Surely by Hontou-ni laws, they are perfectly dreamy for each other? Waiting to see how SUNRISE pulls the cheese of this pizza.
Gift~ Eternal Rainbow - Onii-chan X Riko
Bah! Boring. The designated girl wins.... SHIKAAASHI!!! Upon closer examination, this is no ordinary love! It's.....it's (lightning flash/thunder roll) non-blood related incest! *Gasp! Such abomination! ????.......
Happiness - Jun X Souma Yuuma (Edit: Oops thanks, Hinano

She knows Yuuma best. Not even Koyuki senpai with scrying powers can rival Jun's senstive intuition when it comes to Yuuma. Ahh... now I'd like to see Artland pull this off.
Kanon - Nayuki X Yuichii
I know, this will cost me my AAA and SSS membership. (Do you know how many taiyaki/flu tablets I had to eat before gaining entry? *Sob) But still, I need to be true to myself. Nayuki's the girl for Yuichii. Being a cousin normal girl should have her privileges. To the NNN president, with this post, do I get a discount on no. of snow rabbits I have to ingest for membership?
Negima?! - Negi X Evangeline
Want to look like a grade school couple? Assume loli form. Want some motherly love? Mark the lunar 15th of the month. Eva's versatility as a girl/woman is what Negi really needs. Stand aside Asuna/Nodaka and bask in the lolicious/babelicious charms of Evangeline.
Otome wa boku ni koishiteru - Mariya X Mizuho
It's the hair color. If Mariya loses, it'll only confirm the dark conspiracy against hot pink-red haired girls. Kana's a good backup choice though....
Soukou no Strain - Sara X Lavinia
Can there be any doubt after ep 7? The love of Lavinia is deeper than a SUNRISE character and wider than a GONZO plot. Sara, forget your cheating Onii-chan and lifeless doll. Hot sizzling love beckons!
Sumomomo momomo - Koushi X Sanae
Dog, horse, dragon, snake, tiger. Clearly the dog and horse are good fo each other being in that exclusive family of domesticated animals. Plus, they look soooo good together. Koushi looked pedophilic at the zoo with Iroha and Momoko.
Tokimeki memorial - Mina X Aoba
My motto for Mina... Motto motto Mina! (MMM - roughly translates more more Mina which is what the series needs.) Both Sayuri and Tsukasa feel a little too self-absorbed. Mina's Aoba-centric love trumps them outright. Now we only need to know Mina is Aoba's non-blood related grand-niece to sweeten the deal.
I predict I'll only get ONE of my preferred pairings at the end of all the runs. Where's a wishing stone when you need one?

Assate no Houkou: Beware. There is a chance that Hiro and Karada may be blood related, in fact even closer than brother/sister relationship.
Gift: I know Riko is going to win, but I sympathize more with Kirino. She has being wronged by many and was good to all around her until she snapped. It was somewhat understandable for it can be said that she was betrayed by 2 person she liked the most.
Kanon: (Mai+Sayuri)X Yuuichi for the win. Can’t resist two for the price of one deal.
Negima: Asuna X Takahata for me. If you saw the manga, you will see that Takahata likes her more than he let’s anyone know.
Otome wa Boku… : Mizuho X Shion-sama for me unless it turns out that Shion-sama is also a crossdressing male ( She is tall and she knows about male mistakes )
Tokimeki Memorial: Mina X Aoba. They can be honest to each other without being a hinderance.
School Rumble: Harima X Manga. He really needs some time alone away from girls.

Jun x Yuuma (why’d you write Souma?) – Not even gonna bother going into why we can’t have BOY LOVE in an eroge adaptation.
Koushi x Sanae – Momoko’s the main character and no matter what happens, she always gets the guy.
Negi x Evangeline – It appears from the original manga, Asuna is probably the aim that Ken Akamatsu is going for.
Nayuki x Yuuichi (only happens if you take her route in the game!)

Happiness – Sumomo x Yuuma. Not really as good as Jun x Yuuma, but I like Sumomo a lot for some reason. Actually, I dropped this show a while ago, so I have no idea what is going on right now >_>
OtoBoku – Mariya x Mizuho. Osananajimi for the win! They have great chemistry too.
Kanon – Nayuki x Yuuichi. It’s funny, as my first impressions of Nayuki were exceedingly negative. Now she is my favorite girl by quite a bit.
Negima – Negi x Nodoka. I really like the way this pair works out. Maybe Yue can join in too. This pairing doesn’t really matter to me though, as long as Konoka x Setsuna is around.
Gift – I would love to see some sort of alternate universe where fate hasn’t been so cruel to Kirino, and where she is happily together with Haruhiko. But unfortunately I can’t see this working out after all of the crap that has happened to her, even ignoring the designated girl status of Riko. Stupid Haruhiko

woot for Mina (that snapshot seals the case)… she is the only one focused on Aoba rather than “how I feel about” meh.
and…. I waffle back and forth a lot on Evangeline or Nodoka with Negi. Evangeline really prefers his missing dad methinks (once they clear up those age/timetravel issues). Unfortunately, I think romance in Negima!? is far back that its strapped to the butt of the bus — the director is clearly playing the property mostly for laughs and action, and so far mostly we’ve gotten KonokaxSetsuna as comedy couple and Nodoka as wistful bondage girl who has a cloud of books to stir up her hormones.
Kanon really has always struck me more as a semi-tragic surreal mystery more than a harem fest, my fave girl being Mai but whether Nayuki or Ayu is more right for Yuuichi kind of depends on what kind of tragi-ending you like better
Choosing Sanae is more of a rescue operation than a romance…. I don’t find humilation terribly funny and its hurting the series for me… but then I was mostly watching because of Iroha having dropped it after the first couple of eps with Momoko’s antics.
