MEGAMI vol. 80 and Dengeki G's Festival! vol. 6

I walked into my favourite anime merchandise store today and immediately felt my manliness index plunge. The dark stripes on my tail flashed pink (aka Stripey sense tingling) and I felt a strong force emanating from the magazine section. "It's Her..." The Tanuki in me rasped. I could see her in my mind's eye. Ravishing and immaculate (well at least in the PS2 version she is...) on soft sheets. Like a moth drawn to its certain fiery demise, I gravitated towards the magazine racks and laid my eyes on the most beautiful magazine covers since the DCSS visual collection. My strength fled and my will evaporated. With a trembling hand, I gently picked up the 2 magazine and cradled it in my bosom, not daring to glimpse again at the covers for fear of being blindstruck by Her glorious beauty. Milling fanboys suddenly stopped dead in their tracks. Dagger eyes. I did a backflip somersault shrug only to remain in the path of their deadly undead stare....
"Clank!" Their eye-power is no match for my thick tanuki hide. Acknowledging my worthiness, the fanboys resumed their mindless meandering in the store. But as the wise say, the greatest enemy, is truly oneself.
A cage rattles. The sound of chain metal-snaking resonates in my head. He stirs in his slumber. He-who-I-can't-find-a-better-name, Dark Stripe, the nine-tailed tanuki. There is no time. My knees weak and mind sapped, I stumbled to the counter and wheezed weakly,
"How much?", fighting that now awakened inner Demon's call to ravage the magazines there and then.
"Both? S$62." A beaming shopkeeper casts a bolt of annihilation (no saving throws). Dark Stripe scampers away whimpering, fleeing his earthly vessel.
Regaining my senses and with renewed vigor, I marched the magazines back to the racks.

Okay, that didn't happen. After all I did buy the magazines. But I AM blind now from having sold my cornea to get the mags. Anyhow, I digress. January's issues of MEGAMI vol. 80 and Dengeki G's Festival vol. 6 are must-HAVEs for any self-respecting Feena if not bishoujo fanboys. Commemorating their 80th issue, we have a buffed up MEGAMI issue with more pages of bishoujo goodness and an additional booklet showcasing the best of their posters. Plenty of Nanoha goodness too. Anyway, here's a whatchamacallit from the issue.

Next, Dengeki G's Festival vol 6. Check out Darkmirage's pimpage here. An absolutely awesome buy. The entire issue is dedicated to Yoakena and Feena loveliness. Comes with a Yoakena treasure box that holds a 155 x 50 cm pillow case, a pencil board and cardholder. Loved all three. Am glad that Mai got some love in this special package.

Speaking of sisters, I'll looking for buyers for Asakura Yume to buy my cornea back. Sigh, I bought her because I'm in love with the grandma but yappari, it's just different. Well, she's in pristine condition since she's hasn't left the box. Willng to let her go at a lower price. Interested parties do drop me a mail.
Alright now what you waiting for? Go grab those magazines before my FFF brethens empty themselves the shelves!

Wait you cannot be your own game master while your playing. Heresey! Nay Stripey becomes a rabid Tanuki who proceeds to loot the shop with reckless abandon upon seeing Feena’s likeness. Angered by his actions Nauzron calls upon Yidhra to burn all of the tanuki’s booty. Taking a cue form Tatsuya’s pinching schemes she give the tanuki a nipple twister reducing his HP to 1 and now needs a +48 on 2d20 to regain conciousness. Oh and this is Arkham not Singapore, and this is Cthulhu not Dreams of Akihabara.
Beware paper is very flamable more so when cast into the fires of mount doom, which may happen seeing as you’re tossing S$62 for bishoujo goods than a bigger wishing stone.
Still I have yet to be seduced into buying megami, and certainly not Feena. Mutant cabbage has ruined any degree of respect that may have existed. Now I just want to mock the franchise for allowing Crescent Love to pollute the air waves.

bj0rN: hehe does that mean my secret identity has been compromised? XD So what did you guys get?
Crusader: LOL! Watch me give myself a +3 wallet of disappearing though what I really need now for these aching bones is a +5 dancing mop. I have a time extension on my quest for the larger wishing stone. Meanwhile I’m looking for the long-lost legendary ‘memories-fly-away’ jutsu used by Shinobu in 2X2. XD
Xellos-_^: Heh, I suppose I could. But I couldn’t resist physically possessing Feena instead of having her beauty filtered through the digital medium.
cyw1988: Hi-mi-tsu… Heh, yah lah you got me there
Although Sharon didn’t cast an annihilation bolt at me XD
Zyl: It’s yours, bro!
It’s the same detachable whatchamacallit as the bunny girl Haruhi in the other MEGAMI mag. So I keep the magazine, you get the whatchamacallit? Unless you want a Jan Megami copy which I can go get for you too.

zOMfG.
Plenty of material there, enoug for faps until the end of the world. God, I need a girlfriend. One willing to cosplay and make me love in that costumes preferably.
(No, wait… If I ever see my girlfriend in the Feena school costume, I’ll be dead. From a heart attack. Instantly.)

I say, LOL FANG-TAN in a cat suit. How very fetching.
Is there anything else in Megami 80 for a Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu fan to feast his eyes on? (Apart from the kitty poster, that is.) I have a standing pre-order on amazon.co.jp for Genshiken 9 that won’t ship until Friday, so if there’s more between those covers than the cat ladies I might shell out an extra few hundred yen for this issue.
And I think I saw ‘Kanon’ listed on the cover somewhere – what do they have for that series? Thanks!

The poster is all I need. You are a true friend indeed!
And Megami is a seriously evil magazine. LOL

Beowulf Lee: Yeah, I’m starting to think it’s costing me my life XD
Sherman, the Ramni: I actually missed out the ‘me’ in the ‘make me’ part of your comment. Pls pardon my unsanctified mind! XD
crimson: Sent!
Enjoy.
Diego: Here’s the poster contents page for MEGAMI vol. 80
For Kanon, besides that Mishio/Makoto posters, there’s just another 2 pages dedicated to ‘thoughts of Nayuki, Mishio and Makoto’. Hope this helps seal the deal XD
Zyl: I’m still under your debt for the Japanese goodies you brought back years ago
MEGAMI is worse than crack! I was on the verge of selling away my MEGAMI collection until I saw the Jan issue. Anyhow’s here’s a better scan of the picture. I’ve already detached it from the mag. Keeping it with your Deluxe
