Testing One, K2, Three

A bit of fiddling and abuse of me administrator rights. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. But it rocks absolutely, too. LOL Will, of course, leave it to my good brother Stripey to make further changes or revert back to equiX.

Thought that this would be a cakewalk but the K2 0.9.5 RC1 is slightly different from the K2 Beta Two version used on hontou ni sou omou? Main adjustments to the stylesheet were under #page width to 900px and secondary (for the sidebar) to 20%, reducing the padding and margin too. Apparently that percentage score controls the sidebar's position along the width so that needed adjustment too. Have used /* */ to comment and preserve the original settings. To accommodate the 3 x 200px screencap format used (and not to further increase the column width), more Sea Slugs! isomorphism with the removal of margin, padding and border under #primary .entry-content img.

The Custom Header Image doesn't seem to work. orz Firstly, it is still predicated on the default 780 x 200px banner and insisted on cropping the 900px width when I first tried to upload it. Tried to bypass by using the custom scheme CSS by modifying the default sample.css provided and didn't work - the image didn't show up. Scratching my head until I checked the vader.css and doh! the .css file is located in the custom style sub-directory itself rather than up one level so the url didn't need to point to the custom style sub-directory.

Added the meta (for log-in/out) in the sidebar.php. Have initialized the companion plugins; Brian's Latest Comments, Extended Live Archives, Gravatars (forgot to set the avatar size to 40 x 40px). Will appreciate any feedback on whether if there are any problems.

[Have to explicitly record all this because even though I've just done it, I'm already having trouble remembering what I did.]

    I’m also in the process of constructing moemoerabu.net version 4 using the latest K2 0.9.5 RC1. Increasing the #page width and trying to get the sidebar correct as well was a big hurdle for me since I haven’t touched CSS in a long time. For the header image, I tried not to use the custom header image function in K2 as like you found out, it doesn’t work. Better off statically declaring it in the CSS file.

    Well it’s looking good and simple. I still have a few features I want to implement at the moment but finding trouble on getting them done.

    Looks good, I’m jealous of your coding skillz. It’s been long enough since I’ve done any programming that I don’t dare mess with my template…of course it doesn’t help that the only language I was good at programming was Applesoft BASIC ^^; I did try messing with my Blogger template once, but let’s just say the results made the Yoakena anime look like a work of art…

    I like it! By the way, is that Nemu on the banner? It looks like her, but the seifuku isn’t what it should be. Also, do you have a full-size pic of the original? It so looks like nice wallpaper material :)

    Adun, yeah the custom header tab seems to be designed for wordpress.com rather than self-hosted blogs if I understood the php error line correctly… Good luck with v4!

    suguru, my ‘coding skillz’ were learnt via the Monkey See Monkey Do technique. -_-;; Luckily K2 css is quite intuitive and very well-documented; had a lot of help from Google and wikis as well as other blogs as models.

    I like to suggest a correction on the Most Wanted List.

    While Touga bang almost everyone in school Akio did actually bang everyone in school including his finance, her mother and probably her father too. He also bang utena while Touga nevee manage it. SO a Akio omission is a huge omission formt hat wanted.

    Also it has been confirm that form the material release in the almost Vandread 3 that Hibiki has bang both Meia and Dita and has a daughter form each. Could be more but that is still unconfirm.

    Xellos-_^: I have the Kotobukiya one, and it’s awesome. High detail, nice quality and excellent pose. Sure, the Alter one looks more like Louise in the anime, but usually Alter are a bit poor on making the fringe, which ends up a bit too 2D-isch. Atleast it’s so on both my Alter Nanoha and Alter Fate.

    Xellos-_^: Ah.. Louise chan… I’m still waiting a “enchanting fairy” Louise figure :) I’ve seen both upclose and I’d say both are very good makes. I love Alter Louise’s facial sculpt. Her eyes are extremely anime-like. My only issue would be that it’s rather small for a 1/8. It’s more like a 1/9 and may be incompatible for your 1/8 collection if displayed together. Koto Louise’s facial sculpt is decent but the figure is overall boosted by a more dynamic pose…. I’d get Koto Louise myself…. wait a min, I shdn’t be answering this qn since I’m no lolicon XD

    The way Takaaki froze under Tama-nee’s gaze was like a mouse under a cat’s gaze or a frog under a snake’s. No offence intended, Tama-nee! ;)

    The banners have been a bit rough along the edges because I haven’t been using the magic wand very well. Trying to clean them up a bit. Have added another one to test the rotate script… seems that it works best if there are than 2 banners available for rotation…
