   All good questions–yeah, the hige/sword guy needs to be beaten down for attacking Matsuri, trying to kill a bishoujo is a crime that at least deserves a one-way ticket to the B9F of Anime Hell. Matsuri’s normal clothes with the Shirakawa Kotori-inspired beret and the zettai ryouiki is moe enough as it is, but the ponytail version is good too. I predict robust sales of Matsuri figures…I usually sympathize with the osanajimi character, but in this case it’s Matsuri > impassable wall > Mana…

   Yorito should be able to do #14, Watarase Jun can do it and he’s a guy…it’d be a hell of a lot more effective and less painful than getting cut in Matsuri’s place. I still really want to know what exactly Matsuri is–the audio preview had me thinking vampire, but that doesn’t seem to be quite right…is there some Japanese youkai that can’t stand sunlight and traps her prey with an abundance of moe? They need an Air-like flashback episode soon to explain just how hige guy, Mayuko, Matsuri, and Aono all know each other…I can’t wait for episode 6 either now…

   suguru: Oh they all know each other? Was it from the audio preview? Looks like I need to get my grubby paws on it Mana doesn’t look like she’d be featured much. Sola posters and ED put a great deal of emphasis on Aono and Matsuri (and rightly so their character designs rivals Yoakena) There must be a good reason to cast Nakahara Mai in such an atypical role too Hopefully we have an higurashi twist as Aono goes Kaede on Matsuri.

   Now that you mentioned it, could Aono’s reaction to Matsuri’s name at 05′s end not a response to “OMG! My beloved bro living w another girl!” but “OMG! the monster who made me who I am in my house?” yeah ep 6.. NOW! XD

   05. That’s because Mana is fugly compared to Matsuri. Yaaa, I know I’m being biased here, but that damn yakka is hawt. And that sweet “Bai bai!” softly said in ep. 2 melted my heart.
   06. Quite possible. Maybe related to Takeshi’s sibling incident. But that course poses a question: if Mayuko was infected (let’s call it like that for now) by Matsuri, why the damn brat doesn’t have similar powers? It needs Takeshi for every single thing, pretty much unable to do something by herself. Or is it because of her position as a higher being compared to Takeshi?
   14. Kagutsuchi is only for women. Too bad. An UBW is fine too.
   15. I see Matsuri’s death too as a strong possibility, but I don’t think Aono will win the love fight. 10 bucks it’s a Yorito/dead Matsuri ending.

   1) Blood related siblings? Is that even possible?

   2) Ditto. Although there is 0 yuri potential there.

   4) Matsuri’s hundreds of years old at least. She’s got plenty of time to figure out what guys are like from her experiences.

   7) Canned loli please. Simply for the fact that she crawled into a situation that she couldn’t get out of and for Takehashi’s response to her little antic.
   God I hope not. Tenma should stay with the kappa-god and leave Harima for the superior ladies.

   10) One of the dangers of bishoujo shows is that the viewer tend to overwhelmingly (and pointlessly) emphasize with said bishoujos at the expense of all other characters and logic. Just because a girl’s kawaii doesn’t mean she’s the perfect little angel you wish she is. I’m sure Takehashi has his reasons, however strange and convulteded it may be. And I prefer his old-couple’s familiarity and bickering with Mayuko to Yorito’s sudden brain-dead devotion to some weird girl he knows nothing about and just met in front of a drink dispenser. I’ll form my final opinion after the show’s done.

   13) I can’t stress how much the ‘vampires burn in sunlight because they’re allergic to UV-rays’ idea that’s been floating around in recent years. The analogy is rich though.

   14) What really bothers me about the scene was that Matsuri was cornered against a tree and Takehashi was swinging for her neck, yet Yorito only got a scratch when he interposed himself between them. From the logic of that scene he should have been at least cut to the bone since he really couldn’t push Matsuri or himself further away from the sword.

    10. heh, I’m sure Takeshi has a good and likely moving reason for wanting Matsuri dead. Probably something along the lines of preserving Mayuko’s life. But wat I couldn’t get over was the way he hunted Matsuri in the house. There was sadistic pleasure. He was a toying predator and I despised him for that.
    14. Actually my grip with his injury was how it seemed not to impede his movement. He was not even clutching his wound or wincing and making GAR gestures to protect Matsuri. Animators oversight?

    oops bro, sorry missed your comment. Haha, well I think I’m just being attuned to the Japanese psyche. Nothing to turn up the drama than a tinge of taboo/forbidden love XD After ep 7, I think the series is headed the right way. Great mood, storytelling and GAH… the moe MOE characters… Aono is love….. even if she’s emotionally unbalanced.. XD
