Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS 10

The captains give the newbies their off-pass. Subara x Tiia and Elio x Caro go on their respective "dates" respectively. However, there are ominous signs in the politics of the TSAB, Ginga's discovery of a biological (cloning?) pod amid another gadget raid and the arrival of another loli, via the sewers, chained to relic cases.

Unexpected fan service with Subaru's sexu hara method of waking up sleepy head Tiia. I must confess grimacing though. Partly because how I felt bad for Tiia, whom I now firmly think is attracted to Subaru, because she probably doesn't mind being felt up by Subaru but that she'd want a different mode of intentionality from Subaru who's just being thoughtlessly playful. The other thought that occurred to me was: 'Ah, characters voiced by Mai Nakamura Nakahara [Thanks, Ivy!] should be busty. There's just a bustiness about her voice.' orz

The fastest 'you've passed' in the West. Fate looks so cool in vest and slacks and her arms crossed that way.

Not quite sure what was going on here except something about the pros and cons of magic and technology and rates of crime. The three legendary Admirals (Chrono had compared Nanoha, Fate and Hayate to) are introduced, with Hayate and Vita having a particularly good relationship with the old lady Admiral. Got a really ominous feeling from this, combined with the revelation of limiters being implanted in our trio, seems to suggest an unease in the TSAB with the great power of individual mages. Had a teensy bit of Blue Cosmos vibe to it.

Sooo funny how anxious and over-protective a guardian Fate, the way she fusses over Elio and Caro. I wonder if she'd make a naggy wife to Nanoha? LOL

Now that our kids are out about the town, it's time for *us* to finally spend some quality time together! :3


More Signum x Fate [sexual] tension. Former seems to just luuurve bullying the latter, making Fate feel embarrassed and guilty but reassured at the same time when Signum says it's her job to complete the task at hand without the help of her team captain. Also particularly like Nanoha's "?" face in the background - Fate's heart will always belong to Nanoha but, at least, have some situational awareness about your competition! LOL

Nekkid chibi-Reinforce fan service. Was that really necessary? Then again, this *is* the Nanoha franchise. orz Wonder if we'll get Caro-sized Reinforce? That would be cute!

Subaru has a really interesting mix of masculine (look, eating) vs feminine (speaking, poise) characteristics. And her day off with Tiia somehow felt more 'date-like' than the very tentative, Shari-planned outing between Elio and Caro IMHO.

Dun dun dun! The children of Project F? A Subaru clone? Sure sounded like Chiwa Saito... did anyone catch the voice credits?

Caro: We've just caught ourselves a mini-Fate! Can we keep her please???
Elio: If I am a shota but I like girls of my age, does that make me a lolicon?
Nanoha: Mmmm.... Loli-Fate.
Fate: ...

    If I was the TSAB, I’d insist on some safeguards on any high-end mages squadroned together too. These people are basically human-sized nuclear weapons after all. Dunno what Midchildan history is like, but it ought to include enough instances of mage-trooper praetorianism and coups for them to have learned the lessons.

    Side note: does Tia drive a motorcycle like the previw in Ep 9 suggests ? ^^

    Wait till TSAB institutes a dress code later in the series… shorter skirts, a la Roy Mustang! SKIRT LIMITERS!!!!!

    I was laughing about your “bustiness about her voice” comment, although I’m not completely sure how you came to that conclusion.

    Watchman, indeed – who watches the watchers? And yes, Tiia drives the motorcycle – in fact, Subaru reassures Nanoha that it’s safe because Tiia always did so when they were in basic training and that Tiia was very good at it. If only motorcycle riding was like Freudian interpretations of flying in dreams though. :3

    Kabitzin, we must make Roy Mustang commanding general of the TSAB 4tw!!! About Mai Nakahara, I think her best role was Mai Tokiha in Mai HiME and somehow, she just conveyed Mai’s busty voluptuousness soooo well. It’s impossible to listen to Mai Tokiha and not think ‘D!’ just on the basis of the voice alone. :P

    Since ancient times (ie. Eighties-Nineties) it has been the law, according to the sacred scriptures of Everything I Need To Know About Anime Lesbians I Learned From Okazu, that Cool Anime Chicks Who Drive Motorcycles are gay as the Blue Oyster Bar.

    Amen.

    Thus, we can regard it an established fact that Tia’s about as straight as Elton John and Freddie Mercury combined. ^_^b

    I figure that the “uneasy feeling” from the broadcast of that military guy making the speech comes mostly from the ominous background music. It makes it fairly obvious that this is probably Not Good. (If I hear correctly, he’s talking about increasing the military budget, which is generally unsurprising, as well as recruitment, which may be significant.)

    Scaglietti’s mysterious minion is indeed voiced by Chiwa Saito. (I’d recognize her voice anywhere.) No ideas on whether this means anything, or is just a cost-saving measure. I’m leaning towards the former.
