Code Geass bishoujo rankings and survival statistics

Code Geass is awesome. Personally, it is SUNRISE's finest script since Mai HiME in terms of pace and unpredictability. It's amazing how they managed to drive the plot with such a huge and unwieldy cast yet able to inject sufficient character development for endearment. SUNRISE represents 3 aspects of anime for me - relentless pacing, peerless bishoujos and ruthless killings. I'd leave the intellectual discourse on the merits of SUNRISE pacing to other more articulate aniblogs. Today, at Hontou ni Taihen desu, I'm gonna to tackle the latter two by mindlessly fanboy about Code Geass bishoujos and baselessly speculate about their survival chances.

Numba 10 - Millly Ashford (Survival odds - 89%)

I'll be frank and admit Milly's here to make this a top 10 instead of a top 9 list. But I suppose being only a little behind Lelouch's popularity with the Ashford female student population should count for something. Unless she plays a bigger role in the second season, there wouldn't much dramatic dividends for killing her.

Numba 9 - Viletta Nu - (Survival odds - 37%)

Who'd thought rigorous Britiannia military training makes good wives? Of course I'm omitting the one important ingredient - amnesia. Keep that frying pan within reach to reset your Knightmare-trained wife. For shooting Ougi and revealing Zero's true identity, I doubt Lelouch/the Black Knights will let her die pretty.

Numba 8 - Shirley Fenette (Survival odds - 68%)

One of the main proponents of harem fun in Code Geass, I thought Shirley was a flower vase until her father incident. Still waiting for her to hook up with Suzaku. For some reason she reminds me a lot of Narusegawa Naru ~Love Hina and that misguided feeling lulls me into a sense of false security for her survival. The logical part of me knows all too well what the knowledge of Zero's true identity does to survival odds.

Numba 7 - Kallen Stadtfeld (Survival odds - 92%)

I'll be blunt and say I'm not sure why Kallen is the most fapped to popular girl in CG after C.C. I found her a little bland even though she's tsundere and playing dual identities. Still she's hot in that Knightmare outfit. Taking cue from Gundam SEED Destiny where SUNRISE didn't have the testicular fortitude to kill Lunamaria for fears of diving Gunpla sales, I'd say Kallen's quite safe with her popularity/custom Knightmare.

Numba 6 - Euphemia Li Britiannia (Survival odds - 7%)

Pinked-hair princesses will always have a special place in my heart; especially charming ones who smiles ever so sweetly while slaughtering thousands of innocents. It's interesting how an impotent character became the pivotal figure in twisting the entire plot. A 7% of survival is ascribed, factoring in SUNRISE's penchant for recklessly resurrecting dead characters ala Mai HiME.

Numba 5 - Cornelia Li Britiannia (Survival odds - 33%)

I'm sooo jealous of Guiford. This is one pinked hair princess I'd die to be a knight for. A true warrior and leader at heart, my admiration for her is not merely for her exceptional command/combat capability but extended by her intense loyalty for her men. Sadly, honourable folks like her are often killed by despicable/cowardly means. And I suspect it'd at the hands of a Li Britiannia.

Numba 4 - Nunnally Lamperouge (Survival odds - 12%)

How can any hot-blooded tanuki resist blind-moe? But Nunnally's charms comes not only from being blind. Her gentle strength in exile life while doting her brother and courageously facing the murderous Mao strengthened my adoration. This love is reinforced when I learnt that she fought with Euphie to be Lelouch's bride when young SUNRISE loves to kill characters like Nunnally because it makes for maximum emotional impact. I have little doubt she will die either at the hands of Suzaku or Lelouch himself.

Numba 3 - Cecile Croomy (Survival odds - 73%)

Anyone who remembers her suiting up in ep 24-25 would agree her place at 3 is well-deserved. I'm still waiting for Suzaku to initiate her into his harem. Cecile is unlikely to die unless she hooks up with Suzaku which automatically deflates her chances to a mere 23%.

Numba 2 - Sumeragi Kaguya (Survival odds - 28%)

KA...KA....KAWAIIIII!!! Damn SUNRISE and their lolicious characters! I still remember how I was enamoured by Mashiro (Mai HiME) and Kanami (SCRYED) for the longest time. But frankly kawaii characters have no place in a series dark as Code Geass. I keep having the worst premonitions of her dying in the most horrible ways. Pls SUNRISE, give her a mecha so that Bandai would keep her alive.

Numba 1 - C.C. (Survival odds - 8%)

Anyone who doesn't find C.C. hot has cheese/pizza for brains. C.C. is one of the most enigmatic and complex female characters the SUNRISE mecha franchise has come up with. It helps that she cosplays. I'd say she dies late in the story but the mighty SUNRISE pen has been known to be humbled by the even mightier Bandai pen that writes their paycheck. Time to do a market research on how well C.C.-related merchandise are doing in Japan.

Having spent an hour writing this up, I regret to report that current tanuki survival odds are a meagre 13% for neglecting the housework which is supposed to have been completed by now not having eaten lunch. If I pull through, I might just have that corresponding "CG bishounen rankings and survival statistics".
