   Finally, a full body pic of the Makoto Figure! There’s no way I’m going to miss out on preordering this! Though, I’m looking forward to Shiori most of all. Depending on how nice they look, I may even buy their versions of Mai and Nayuki to make a full set, assuming they do make them.

   Kotori looks pretty nice as well, but I still haven’t gotten around to watching Da Capo yet. I try to avoid buying a figure if I’m not already a fan of the source material.

   It’s hard keeping to any kind of cap…I try to limit myself to no more than 20 new anime DVDs a year, but this year it looks like I’m going to hit 25. The new Kotori figure coming out does look awesome–if I ever allowed myself to start collecting figures, I think that and Feena would be the first two I’d get ^^

   That’ll be the laugh I use when another anime blogger falls deeper into figure hell/heaven. I can only hope I had a little to do with it

   On the WF 2007 figures, good catch on the Kotori one. Just from the prototype sculpt alone, I can tell I’ll be pre-ordering it ASAP. Meido Rider is just a given. I pumped my fists in glory that Shiina’s figure finally got “announced” (since it was only a matter of time); gotta love Shining Tears/Wind heroines! GSC’s Shuuraki line is going to make me broke but they all look just superb so I have to catch ‘em all. And Queen’s Blade line has always rocked; definitely be ordering Airi when available!

   BTW LOL at your four new figs you recently got since I also have them as well. If it makes you feel any better, currently bought 24-30 figures this year and have about er… 27 figures on preorder for the rest of the year. And that preorder number will most definitely go up, if anything else. See, when compared to me your financial troubles aren’t so bad right? XD

   Mizumi: I’m sooo looking fwd to a Shiori sculpt too! That be followed by my craving for a Nayuki and Mai sculpt in that order. Pity I didn’t quite like their Ayu sculpt so even if I snag the rest, the collection would be incomplete. XD Da Capo (Season 1)’s a great show (if you’re into this genre) although Kotori really only shone in the second season which imho is not as good.

   suguru: Resistance is futile! XD Heh. But great taste you have to want to begin your figure collection with Kotori/Feena – the uber bishoujos of 2D world. MaxFac has swimsuit Feena lined up for Jan 08 release… the power of Feena compels us!

   Xellos-_^: I’m surprised I didn’t order Fang-tan myself too. I guess it’s because my wallet’s be crying for mercy for a while XD Now to wait for Meido Sakura to be w Meido Rider

   Adun: Haha, I guess I can’t resist when advocates of Darkness like yourself/Moyism make this descent so fun and full of comaraderie XD

   moyism: For a moment, I heard Darth Sidious in that laughter XD I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say the figure industry needs to award you for the highest honour for making sooo many overseas figure padawans. Oh about the Shiina I posted, that’s the Kotobukiya one that goes with their 1/8 Xecty. MaxFac is going to release another Shiina in Mar 08, presumable a 1/7 to go with their beautiful 1/7 Kureha (which I bet my tanuki tail that you’ve preordered )

   And finally, almost 60 figures for 2007?!??! *falls into worship* I don’t feel so guilty now indeed!

   Stripey, nah you’re giving me too much credit. The real honor goes to folks like super_rats and Danny Choo. I know I’ve lost a few (hundred) bucks thanks to them!

   Thanks for pointing out the differences in the Shining Wind line. Honestly didn’t realize they were being done by both Kotobukiya and MaxFac since all of them just look so great. I guess if I looked at the scale, something I never do, I would have noticed sooner LOL. Also thanks for the heads up on MaxFac’s Shiina, which I may end up getting as well as Kotobukiya’s since I have much love for 99% of all Nana Mizuki roles. And yes, I preordered MaxFac’s Kureha along with Kotobukiya’s Clalaclan

   Now I think about it… orz on how much figures I’ve gotten and will get this year. I think this year alone has doubled my figure collection to tell you the truth. For those interested, my financial breakdown went roughly as follows (Month # of figs): Jan 2, Feb 1, Mar 1, Apr 6 (8 if you count the extra 2 MaxFac Haruhi I still have laying around), May 5, June 6, Jul 4, Aug 9, Sept 7, Oct 4, Nov 7, and Dec 3. Of course, preorder dates can change but for now, those numbers are current. The more I look at those numbers, the more tears well in my eyes ;_;

   Humble as usual moy-senpai. Most welcome on the Shining Wind tidbits, just sharing a little of what I know MaxFac 1/7 Kureha mounted a very damaging challenge to my 1/7 rule and I fear to think what Shiina would do when her prototype is made available XD I was seriously considering Koto’s Clalaclan too but my wallet vetoed the purchase

   *faints* Assuming you will be getting your 55 figures (preorders inclusive), that be about 110 figures in your collection by year end? I’m tearing up too but it’s tears of joy and envy!

    Stripey, nah not that many. Just did a quick count while slacking on writing a blog entry and I have about 50 1/8 or bigger figures (add another 10 if I can include Gundam FIX, Transformer Alternators, and Revoltech). If I do get the other 30 or so still on preorder for the rest of the year, it’ll only total about 80ish by the end of 2007.

    Looking at WF though, it may be higher if there are surprise releases before ’08 ^^;;

    moyism: Gao! 80 plus figures is impressive enough! I’m holding my breath for these 2 weeks since anything released for preorder in Sep would only arrive in 2008 where my figure quota starts afresh. Yes, I’m in denial XD

    samejima: My acquiring patterns are totally dependent on the releases. I can go for months w/o ordering anything or 4 in a month XD A small part of me lament the excellent sculpts they have been coming out w lately
