Lucky Star 22

Bread factory? What was that all about? Misao gets a rare upper hand on Kagamin!

Well, not always. I did pick up more stuff than I wanted because after choosing what I wanted, the circle people also pointed out their other new works and I ended up buying those as well. orz But there was also another circle's stall where I picked up a Nagato H-doujin and was so appalled by it that the circle asked if I was alright as I put it down and I ended up using Kagami's line: "It's too intense for me!" before beating a hasty retreat. OTL

All the Soujiro x Kanata movements as so Stripey x Nauzron. LOL

You are not alone in your delusions, Hiyorin! Yutaka x Minarin FTW!

If only real life was as flowery and refreshing as Marimite. Or at least Hiyorin’s imagination…

Ep 22 was kind of boring until the latter half. They finally give some story about Konata’s mom,it’s very heart warming.

meganeshounen, not sure if MariMite and Hiyorin’s imagination are the same universes. Hard to say which one I’d prefer though.
Watchman, ah yes, the true oneesama are like ghosts – everyone talks about them but no one has ever seen a real one.
Redhell, the parts about Kanata seem to be anime-original (unless it’s in Vol.5 of the manga which has just been released and I haven’t got my hands on yet).

MariMite alla Hiyorin isn’t very difficult to imagine, mind you…

And Yuki might as well start wearing “Yaoi Star” T-shirts. >_<
As a random observation, is it just me or does Kagami actually seem kind of fond of Misao ? Somewhat in the manner of as if the latter was a dumb but adorable puppy you just can’t remain angry at… And Ayano appears to enjoy watching the two bump off each other.
…and Misao’s probably a closet masochist.
>_>
<_<
…which, when you think about it, might actually be one reason why Kagami-sama is kind of fond of her… ^_^;

re: Kagami’s relationship with Misao. I think Kagami didn’t even notice Misao very much before the third year – they were even in the same middle school together and Kagami didn’t even seem to realize it until Ayano pointed it out. But Kagami also noted that her friends are somewhat similar: Ayano approx= Miyuki and Misao approx= Konata.
I’m guessing that Misao admires Kagami for having good grades, organized, class rep etc. and Kagami’s coldness towards her only increases her ‘coolness’ factor and thus attractiveness?

Or deep down she enjoys getting snubbed by her idol. :/
Mind you, the two of them are about opposite enough personalities I can well imagine a sort of “opposites attract” effect. And now that you mention it, I’ve been wondering for some eps now if Misao didn’t in a way supply an amount of unpredictability and vivacious randomness into Kagami’s somewhat, uh, hyper-controlled existence; not unlike Konata does, just more normal in content (Misao seems to have a talent for inserting a degree of Osaka-like peculiarity into the most mundane things…). A window through which Kagami can view a “way of being” very different from her own, perhaps ? Given how much stress her straight-laced dutiful streak often seems to put her under, I wouldn’t be surprised if she also at least sometimes wished she could be that carefree as well.
Speaking of Kagami in her third year, am I imagining things or has she had a more general “sea change” in her outlook to life ? And not just in regards to Misao and Ayano, she seems less highly strung in general. A tad more relaxed somehow, like she’d gotten over or came to terms with something. Some scenes have also given me the hunch that of the now 3rd-year original cast, she’s the one who’s best grasped the fact they’re now on their “last leg” of high school, and will soon be going their separate ways in life – there seems to be a sort of wistful air about her occasionally, particularly around Konata.
