Hiatus and wishlist for Fall series

I don't usually put up hiatus notices but since I'd be away for 3 weeks without internet access, I thought it'd be the responsible thing to do. This tanuki will be back only in mid Nov, hopefully a leaner, meaner rodent with a voracious appetite for anime after missing out for a while. Anyhow here's a wish-list I hope to see in the Fall series when I return in Nov.

DCII - Yoshiyuki dumps Koko for Nanaka. Yume begins to take an interest in knives and Koko in chainsaws.... NOT! Hoping they would at least begin the Otome/Yume arcs.

Myself, yourself - I have only seen 2 eps and I. absolutely. hated. Nanaka. Hoping the series starts embedding elements for a Canvas2-esque upset with Hoshino. I would have preferred Hinako but lolis NEVER win.. *Shakes fists at harem gods*

ef ~ a tale of memories - To have lose some of that visual clutter and invest in creating more endearing characters and a more inspired storytelling.

Clannad - Honestly I don't know how I can hope to get back into the series when I can't connect with the characters. I think my issue is they feel too much like copies of each other. Hoping I can somehow get back into the series with the subsequent eps.

Rental Magica - A proper setting up of the harem premise. I want to know which bishoujos are in and the main rivalry. Actually I have no doubt it'd be between Honami and Addy. But I have a deep suspicion about Kuroha as the dark horse.

Kodomo no jikan - More about Rin's dark past would be nice. For Rin to be so liberal, I hope it's not because she was sexually abused when young. Looking forward to Rin growing out of her cynicism via her increased contact with the idealistic sensei.

Shana II - Ooooh... looking forward for Konoe to raise a SERIOUS challenge for Yuuji's heart. I'd love to see how Kazami/Shana lose their pace/balance with the intro of such a lolicious haremette. GO GO HEKACHAN!

With that, I bid my farewell and may Haruhi keep nice boats quietly docked at harbours.

Series you probably ought to take a look at when you return:

Sketchbook ~full colors~ (absolutely Aria-ish slice of life wonderment)
Sayonara Zetsubu Sensei (hilarious in all the wrong ways)
Minami-ke (oddly satisfying — echoes of Ichigo Masimaro but grown up)
Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun (just for the moe-blob, tsun-clutz idiocy of it all)

Last week I saw a tanuki being carried around by a loli maid and I thought of you.

While you were gone, Koko and Yoshiyuki didn’t break up, and the Shanamobile went off a cliff into a sea of oblivion. Fortunately for everyone, there’s still ef – Tale of Memories and Minami-ke (Strawberry Marshmallow Plus Plus), and fortunately for us J.C.Staff fanboys, there’s still Kimikiss.

Zyl: LOL! Unfortunately no. Combat rations are a lot more nourishing than they seemed XD

suguru: I just saw ep 5 and my worst fear is gaining strength – We might have a Koko end. That said, I’ve began to recalibrate my expectations to ensure I’d still enjoy DCII regardless of its route

Xellos-_^: LOL! I think I saw less than 5 lolis in all 21 days XD

sixten: I want to be that tanuki.. erm wait a min.. XD I’m catching up on Myself/Yourself and rental magica now. Will be onto Shana soon. As long as there’s harem tension, Shana’s good for me. I enjoyed season one solely for that XD
