Upgrade to WordPress 2.3.2

I usually wait for Kabitzin to take the lead on WP upgrades but as the amount of shouting and screaming on the relevant WP forum thread seemed less than usual, I decided to take the plunge. I was particularly worried that the upgrade would break my theme but, apparently, if it's K2 RC1 then it's a-okay. So far so good, though please let me know if you find anything wonky.

In other news, I've also made the switch from Spam Karma 2 to Akismet which I'm not pairing it with Bad Behavior since BB has locked Stripey out in the past. Which proves that it's doing its job. LOL Anyway Akismet has a much higher false positive rate so, again, give me a shout if your comment has been eaten by mistake.

    Agreed on Akismet vs Spam Karma 2, I switched too.

    Everything seems to work smoothly, don’t worry. Gah, I should update my 2.0.4, but I made too many changes and it’s rather scary to even think about it >_<

    I actually use Akismet and SK2 at the same time, which so far has only eaten one comment that should have gone live. Overall the 2.3.2 upgrade’s changes are so minimal that they’re not really noticable at all (compare that with the disaster that almost happened when I went to 2.3.0!). No bugs evident here as far as I can see though. :)

    I did the update yesterday, and it was uneventful. The lockout was a minor bug that was patched 2 days later, but after reading more about how Bad Behavior works, I decided to drop that plugin as well. I’m not a huge fan of Akismet, but at least it gets regular updates.

    I should probably upgrade WP as well, but like you said, I’m worried about breaking my current K2 theme, and I’m NOT running RC1.

    Thanks for the feedback, everyone, and happy new year!

    Just a note about K2 – currently it’s on RC3 – but when Stripey downloaded the zip and tried to use it, some of the files were corrupt and he couldn’t even access his dashboard after that. After the standard solution was applied (deleting the defective theme sub-dir via FTP), I uploaded my RC1 files and things seem to be fine again.

    Check the bug list on RC3 zip issue on the K2 home page for updates.
