H2O ~ Footprints in the sand 03 – Hinata seduces!

Every time I see a haremette picks up the harem lead for school, I wonder what I'd do if a bishoujo escort turns up daily to pick up my aspiring harem-lead of a son? Jealous? Proud? Tie my son at home and send bishoujo friend to school? Although chances are if I picked option 3, Mrs Stripey would strap my ass to a rocket and send me to the sun. Maybe that's why she wants to have daughters... gasp! No daughter of mine is going to pick up harem scum in the morning!!! Nooooooo!!!

Sorry I digressed.

If you haven't noticed, I'm enjoying H2O ep 3 very much. Though much is revealed this ep, it was masterfully weaved to induce more thirst in the viewers. First, we understand that it was the village lynch mob that off-ed Hayami's parents. Not unexpected only that the mystery deepens as to what they did to warrant that village outing. Did they send cease and desist letters to 9 yr old anime downloaders? And we also have a confirmation on Hayami's childhood friend - Hinata who forsook Hayami during the time of her greatest need. But who can blame Hinata? What can a little girl do in the face of an angry mob who wants their animu? The final interesting bit is Takuma being the promised one. Is he The One to come up with a working version of the annoymizing download client or just a glorified title for village sacrfice? Just what is so precious about "The One" that a grandfather would sell his lolicious grandchild out to him? I have no doubt Hinata was going to drug Takumi and had the deal sealed in her room. Only that her ploy was broken by Takuma's fierce interrogation.

Frankly, I'm full of sympathy for both girls, yes even Hinata. Both are victims of social fetters, cruelly imposed by the unfeeling upper generation. And for a young girl like Hinata, it's understandable that she didn't have moral courage to defy family or mobs. Of course it wouldn't make for a bad story either if Hinata had sided Hayami and gone with her to live in abandoned trams. The doujin circles would have a field day.

Am loving every min of H2O, especially the legendary Zexcs bishoujo confrontations. Can't wait for Hayami to loose the suspension bridge for all to plunge to their watery deaths next ep.

    LOL Hirose is a terrible harem lead, he doesn’t even wanna lead it, he just wants Hayami lol

    I only have time for two series this season. And as per the terms of my contract with J.C.Staff, those two series have to be Kimikiss (which I’m glad you finally got down to watching – I’ve only been hyping it since the start of Fall 2007) and Shigofumi.

    Which is a pity, because you make H20 and True Tears sound really good.

    Maybe your daughter will be a reverse-harem lead and have her own harem picking her up. That solves everything.

    This show still needs more Otoha but other than that it is awesome. I was afraid that rhe series would begin to fall apart after a strong start, but with the pacing and development still solid as of the end of episode three my worries are beginning to go away. Then again next episode is “Hamaji,” and I have to wonder how much relevance that can have towards the established plot threads.

    As for Hinata and Hayami – I still don’t think that Hayami was completely innocent in whatever happened back then, and that there were disastrous consequences involving Hinata’s sister. Either way, I still like both characters a lot. I’ve noticed a mounting hatred towards every non-Hayami character in this series since episode two aired, and I think that people are being far too quick in judging these characters – even Yui. We still don’t really know what is going on here, and there is clearly a lot of story left to tell thay could possibly change everything.

    Painful to see Hinata’s incompetent efforts at seduction… let’s just say that it didn’t take Takuma long to catch on.

    Hinata should get some lessons from Otoha. I get the feeling that Otoha could actually succeed if she tried, and be Takuma’s “promised one”, “destined one”, and soulmate all in one. But as things stand, Otoha may be content to push him towards Hayami.

    Bah Hinata is but a stabber in the dark, treacherous to her foes, faithless to her friends, and a curse upon all her kin. I damn Hinata’s grandfather and all who followed him. However the worse of that old bastard’s deeds Hinata shall feel inside herself!

    I hope Hayami-chan razes the town to the ground and spares no man, woman, or child. The bloody townies came to her home to demand earth and water. I hope Hayami casts them all down a well so that they might dig it out for themselves.

    Hinano: I don’t know about qualifications as harem lead but Hirose sure has great self-control. A 15 yr old Stripey would have jumped Hinata as soon as they’re alone XD

    Sixten: Currently I’d put True tears before H2O. But Kimikiss is great romance too and Shigofumi looks promising so I think you’re in good hands as usual :)

    Sana Jisushi: Ah me and my one-track mind! But of course! :)

    Kefit: The Kohinatas must have something to do with Hinata imouto’s passing. The question now is whether Hayami was directly involved or just bearing the sins of the parents I hope Hamaji’s tale would tie in with the overarching plot too. It’s be a pity of the series goes on an character episodic tour diluting the main story. :)

    dsong: Heh, I wouldn’t have resisted very long if I were in Takuma’s shoes. I wonder if the prolonged blindness affected his libido XD That explains my admiration for Takuma. :)

    Crusader: If there ever be a dispute, I’d better be on your side XD I’m still very sympathetic towards Hinata simply because she’s beautiful XD Ok, and she sincerely wants to do the right thing or at least that’s what she has been grossly misled into thinking. :P

    Yeah I feel bad for Hinata, too. The ones I don’t like very much are her family members -_-. Overall this show is going fine. Hayami is so moe, waiting for Hirose and all :3~~
