He is one of my favorite chracter that is not a hot girl. The fight between Van and the Zaibach forces and the dragon slayers were some of the best in ever in anime. I think only Kenshin vs Saito and Jubei vs Freesia in Jubei-chan2 was better. At least i can remember a better fight scene recently. I hope they make a sequel to it, or perhaps do limited remake to replace the ending episodes (they ended up with too much plot and too little time to show it all).
