Well... my point is that "tsundere" in my understanding has to imply that the girl in question needs to be "masking" her true feelings, i.e. acting particularly negative (usually out of embarrassment) while actually feeling something different. Not what has caused a flood of faux-tsundere declarations, when a girl merely shows both anger and sweetness at the same time.

Hina has a temper, and she's quick to show it. However, in the past, she's always been very straightforward about it. When she's angry, she shows it. When she's playful or happy, she shows it. But she's been honest. Now, with Hayate, for the first time ever she's beginning to mask. In revenge mode, she's roasting him over the fire, even though she's perfectly willing to still help him out. And when she does, she lies about it, claiming that she'd never dream of doing that. THIS is the "tsundere" aspect I was talking about.

@ Nazareille

Out of sight = out of mind? Is that why fan art and fanfics are so handy? ;-)

@ Mentar

The tsunderation of Hina. Hmmm... now that you point it out, it's definitely Hayate's fault and a recent thing too. She's always been so straight forward, recovering quickly after the outburst of pervert! after Hayate snatched her tie in the Butler tournament. Struggling after Hayate rescued her from her tree fall wasn't so much tsundere as embarrassment at being the one to be saved for once (or twice)?
