Asura Cryin' is really unusual in doing the reverse. Actually by Ep 5-6, we start to get a hint about why Kurosaki has ended up with her Macross-like missile array. I still need to watch the next few episodes to see if it's worth it, but so far, it looks like a series that I'll be sticking to.
