Hmm, some of the images are showing sometimes. I was thinking server problem, but I also see different things based on browser. Like on FF 3.5, the background image and 1/2 the images don’t show, on IE8 the background image shows, but 1/3 of the images don’t show, and on chrome everything looks fine. Quite bizarre.
Edit: Oh now the pink background image shows up on FF after I submitted this comment. Although about 1/2 the images still aren’t showing.

Thanks for the feedback, RP. I’m getting only about 1/2 on FF3.5 and about 3/4 on Chrome but IE8 was completely ok. Bizarre.
Networking issues apparently. Sigh

Thanks, I’ve just seen some 403s too on Chrome. This is really puzzling since I’ve removed the anti-hotlinking scripts in my .htaccess too.
I sent a ticket to MidPhase support earlier but their response was that there is nothing wrong and implied that my WP version wasn’t the latest (it was) and/or my theme is not compatible (Vigilance is a default theme on WP.com). Totally useless, lazy and incompetent response.
[Add: Also getting problems in the default theme.]
