Shinbo's "I can't schedule or budget for shit and resort to slideshows at some point in all my series when the animation outsourcing fails" nonsense always gets on my nerves (TMP, PPD, Negima!?, EF, Hidamari, etc). The dialog and characterization in this series has been extremely compelling. Even my adoration of Spice&Wolf has suffered some distraction. I’ll be happy to see the DVD version of this series….
