Applying Two Blogger Rule and Bracketing to GA: Geijutsuka Art Design Class
Ayako didn't release GA:GADC subs on a weekly basis but praise be to them for having completed the whole series; I'm still in agony over the yet-to-released sub for the final episode of Mouryou no Hako.
I have the batch for Geijutsuka downloaded and tucked away but I have not managed to get beyond the first episode (which I watched just after its initial release). My problem is two-fold; I haven't found a second blogger to fulfill the requirements of my Two Blogger Rule for ordering All Systems Go on watching a new (to me) series. Some of the strongest advocates of GA:GADC got head but no tail.
Both Kurogane and tj_han came out strongly for GA:GADC but that was at the start. But I've not noticed any follow-up or a closing bracket post. For all I know either or both could have dined on Shoes a la Edward Elric since then. Or not. Stripey often gets an earful from me about advocating series but not saying anything when it goes tits up so his bracketing (open|close) of Chrome Shelled Regios was very much appreciated.
Aroduc and psgels have completed (raw) episodic blogging of Geijutsuka but I don't want to be spoiled particularly as the series seems gag-comedy heavy. cirnoisagenius's post is a midway evaluation; it ain't over till it's over (remember the ups and downs of Kannagi versus ToraDora?). At this time, I'm treating Author's posts on this as reserved judgment as he's still working his way through the subs. Though it's faintly ominous that Arashi merits its own category but not GA:GADC.

Wish I could help out, but I’ve only made it to 5 myself. Like you, I have the batch on my external. Maybe that will be a good thing to use to kill time over the weekend. :p

I enjoyed it, watched all the episodes. The quality is pretty consistent throughout, if you like the first few episodes you’ll like them all.

It fulfills the quota for shows about high school girls doing absolutely nothing special. It’s pretty enjoyable.

I think you’re missing out on Aroduc over at Tenka Seiha, Zyl, who I THINK has watched GA GADC to its end.

Its 4-koma fun and insanity…. good for just a bit of loony escapism. However, I’ve seen the first few episodes and have the rest on “rainy day” mode (which should be soon given the general lack of “series that interest me” this season).

Dunno if you ever got around to this Zyl, but I just did and it’s well worth it, all the way through. It’s a nice, fluffy, gag filled show that’ll keep you laughing. The ending was really nothing special, but that’s the way it should be really, no forced plot in the last episode or two, just the same old GA. With how enjoyable it was, I’m hoping they eventually come out with a second season. It’s a perfect show to just sit down and watch when you’re craving some humor without wanting to be bogged down by anything else.
