The new footages in ACC were utterly gorgeous - as crisp/fluid as the demos you see in electronic stores. But the original AC footages, though a vast improvement from the DVD (which I also own), was clearly inferior. So yeah, I wouldn't be upgrading my existing anime DVD collection to blu-ray but will get them for new series.
