Railgun 08

Summary:
I still can't believe that Bomber Kaitabi is just a Level Two when the destructive ability he displayed was easily Level Four; Oneesama suggested to take a break and revisit it later. While buying an ice dessert, we discussed an aspect of Canaan, for a bit. Later we were joined by Saten-san who had not just one, but two, indirect kisses with Oneesama after trying each other's flavours. I had the same strawberry flavour as Oneesama thus how I rue a missed opportunity of a lifetime! That sinful woman was bringing medicine for a feverish Uiharu and we all went to visit. Oneesama asked Saten-san about the Level Upper and I told them about how there have been several cases where perpetrators of crimes had more power than the database indicated like the Eyebrows girl and the bank robbing firestarter. Uiharu got the bulletin board used by the Level Upped and the family restaurant used as the rendezvous point. Oneesama rushed off immediately even though she is just a civilian and this matter should be under the jurisdiction of Judgment.
As usual Oneesama just barged into Jona Garden, approaching the hoodlums there for information about the Level Upper. I was so worried that she would lose her cool at their insults and blow her own cover but she really turned up her cuteness act and I was just hah hah hah. She even turned on the waterworks, cooking up a story about needing the Level Upper so as not to disappoint her family whom she's been lying to about her ability development. In the alleyway they pushed her too far, wanting all her money, bank card, PIN, credit card that she wrought divine electrical retribution on them. But then their female Boss cleared them out and then duelled with Oneesama, using Flux Coat which controls the viscosity of asphalt. In the end, Oneesama responded to their Anego's call to take the fight seriously and took out a major portion of Academy City's power transformers. The next day I urgently teleported Oneesama to the hospital where Kaitabi had been admitted after mysteriously lost consciousness, part of an upsurge of cases this week. The consultant called in by the hospital director turns out to Kiyama Harumi, the Undressing Woman!
Reaction:
Calawain was unduly harsh in describing Saten's ruminations as "emo" - even if she is sinful; Keiri has a much more sympathetic understanding of her predicament and the implications of the uncrossable wall between Level 0 and Level 1.
In any case, it is faithful to the source material and also necessary for the buildup to what is to come. But, unlike Keiri, Touma's non-appearance was a Good Thing (not simply because he is a rival for Oneesama) - it might have been funny but the consequences have already been covered in Index and it would needlessly divert the momentum of the story especially after all the PLOT WHERE and PLOT FINALLY criticism that floated around elsewhere earlier.
