Railgun 09

Summary:

I tried to wake Oneesama with a kiss but was foiled. Had wanted to ask Kiyama-sensei some questions but she started stripping. After things had calmed down, Kiyama-sensei agreed to help us investigate the Level Upper - once a sample had been found. We were then joined by Uiharu and Saten-san; I expressed my concern that the Level Upper may have side effects and, besides, their users have been prone to commit crimes. Saten-san accidentally spilled her drink on Kiyama-sensei and she started taking off her stockings. I had to teach her the rules of society but overall she tried to be helpful and felt nostaglic as it reminded her of the time when she used to lecture. But Oneesama, and Saten-san, had disappeared.

Uiharu compiled a long list of possible locations where the Level Upper was being traded which I proceeded to check one by one. Whereupon I stumbled upon three thugs who were picking on Saten-san and another male. I tidied up the first two but the third was a more troublesome opponent, being able to evade my attacks and launch his from unexpected angles. I was kicked into a deserted building that was one of the gang's hideouts and he trolled me around until I was able to figure out his ability. Trick art - which bends the light around his body, creating an optical illusion, making things look like they are in a different place than they actually are. He refused to surrender after my final warning, I had to demolish a whole building to subdue him and confiscated the Level Upper - it's an mp3!

Reaction:

Keiri is a fan of mine so, of course, I approve of her approval of me as her favourite character. It might have been a bit better if they could have also shown how the crumbling building disrupted Mr Trick Art's concentration to the point he could not use his Ability. There are just some people who crack and are almost, literally, crushed under pressure desu no.

Likewise Calawain's words were also appreciated when he admired how I improvised the use of my Ability - something that people would more normally associate with defence than offence - but with respect to his gripe about five minute long explanations - first, it was less than 1 min 50 sec desu no and second, someone's got to do it otherwise we'll just get the reverse complaint from people who are confused and don't understand what is going on.
