2009 Moment of Anime 8: To Hug Or To Be Hugged

抱きしめたい、いや、抱かれたい!
At which point I realized that Hitagi is, actually, not Suruga's type at all. Even so, it was great to see that she knows what she wants and can articulate it clearly; it's said that one of the characteristics of an expert is the ability to make fine distinctions - like the one above.
I still haven't figured out why "want to hug" is conjugated as dakishimetai rather than just dakitai though.
何だあの子、滅茶苦茶可愛いかったな
And speaking of learning language - bitter tea I've tasted before but annihilation tea? Even if I wasn't willfully reading that wonderful expression literally, "cute in a messy, all over the place kinda of way" to express how Suruga's lust for Shinobu was also amusing in a disturbing sort of way.
Another one for the project.

The verb「締める」implies “tightly”, so the combination of 「抱く」”hug” and 「締める」”tightly” = 「抱き締める」。:)

Kanbaru isn’t my favorite character, but I’m completely with her on her Shinobu-phillic sentiments *nod nod*
Oh wait am I thinking aloud again?
