But over the years, I have learned to discern the two. :P 2 general guidelines. 1. Get only from reputable stores. 2. Know the product (ie exactly how many discs, the cover illustrations and approx retail price) While these wouldn't totally eliminate your chance of grabbing bootlegs, it does severely minimise the odds. :) It was an harrowing experience for myself too. 1. Get only from reputable stores.
2. Know the product (ie exactly how many discs, the cover illustrations and approx retail price)

While these wouldn’t totally eliminate your chance of grabbing bootlegs, it does severely minimise the odds. :)
