No wonder Helvetia is losing; they can't keep track of their princesses and weapons geniuses

Filicia takes Hopkins hostage to stop him taking Aisha away and he escapes to continue his plan to provoke war between Helvetia and Rome. Filicia and her anata-tachi take off in magical old tech style Takemikazuchi in all her glory to delay the war with the power of Amazing Grace, buying just enough time for Rio-hime and her Pink Tanks to save the day.

No screencaps as I've got serious connectivity problems at the moment.

Especially liked the twist of how the Roman legend felt more right than the original full of impending doom one we heard in the first episode. Though it seems more a case of the universe bending over backwards so as not to upset Kanata too much. Rio's return was also a big surprise but I don't think it cheapened her sacrifice - she still managed to face up to and patch things up with her father - and the Roman Emperor (I take back everything I said earlier) is probably a big fan of yuri. And knows that Serious Business Filicia would probably turn up at the wedding to snatch Rio back so he saved himself and everyone else the trouble now.

It's a very happy ending alright but the bigger issues haven't been addressed and might leave room for another season or OVA. What was the old war about, who was the enemy? Is the world really dying? Can the No Man's Land and the dead oceans be revived? Will Moel x Aisha make a nice couple? Big points also for parts of the show which evoked military life so well that it made me nostalgic (aand the relief - so glad that it's over) for my full-time conscript days.

    You’ll need a Garden of Harem – oops I mean Eden Creation Kit and Project Purity to do that…

    Aisha has already been assimilated by Moel, resistance is futile… Felicia offered to massage that which bears Soma and to harvest the water of life, but Noel has already had first pickings…

    In honor of the 1121st Yuri Platoon, I shall open a packet of SFI Black Pepper Chicken Pasta (packed April 2006, best before Mar 2009)… and EAT IT….

    I doubt that Roman Emperor is a fan of yuri, he’s just waiting to jump Rio and is actually making headway into her pure heart! This is unacceptable he plays a good game but I see through him…

    Glad it was able to remind you of all the fun times you had which weren’t so fun at the time, during your conscript days.

    I ma not sure if they are going to go delve into the past but they might move on into the future. At least we will know how Kanata found out about the distillery…
