After much procrastination, I finally got down to making an animated gif from Index Episode 14 where Mikoto returns home to someone who loves her. 
Except I couldn't remember how to do it at first. And as with all matters technical, I turned to Kabitzin - specifically the tutorial recommended in the Matsurika guitar post.
A Certain LoliBiri Chat Relay
I agree, in general, that Loli Biri Biri / MISAKA Serial No.20001 / Last Order is cute. Though the latter name sounds more like 'kitchen closing time at the restaurant' than the Ominous Sign that it's probably intended to be.
But, as Keiri said, she needs to have her speech patterns reprogrammed. It worked well with Emotionless MISAKA but much less well.
I did get caught off guard, like Accelerator, when she suddenly turned analytical in the family restaurant and brilliantly deconstructed Mister Former Top Level Five's interactions with the Sisters. Good job!
Two final notes. First I had somehow expected that Satou Rina would voice all three Biri Biri versions like how Hayashibara Megumi voiced all three Reis but they are, despite their common genetic makeup, different people and Satou, Sasaki Nozomi, and Hidaka Rina make good contrasts. Would love to see them team up!
Second, I'm a little surprised that there's been no mention of the MISAKA project, Sisters and Last Order in the Railgun manga so far (up to Chapter 14).
The dialogue in Index is Dumb and must be Prohibited
I was going to title the post 'Touma is Dumb and must be Destroyed' but I've come to the belated realization that I've been blaming Kamijyo Touma too much for my unhappiness with the Index anime. Too much crap comes out of his mouth but, hey, that's the sad duty being the main chara. Even so I enjoyed hearing him being killed twice in the Index-tan DVD special. Go Kaori and Stiyl!
A certain series diluted, spliced and distilled
Now that we've had the Biri Biri arc that Railgun fans have been clamouring for, I'm left with the ever so slight but undeniable taste of disappointment. Keiri's contention that the characters were diluted went some way to explain my funk.
Kuroko (aka 'Desu-no chan' LOL), in particular, felt incomplete, unwhole. Thinking back, it wasn't so much that she was diluted but that a facet of her personality was very deliberately and surgically spliced off - the crazy yuri jealousy which was the source of so much merriment when I was reading A Certain Scientific Railgun. Manga Kuroko's jealousy is definitely one of her charm points, she just isn't the same without it.
At least we got some of her perviness back. Washi eloquently described how the Index poster in Megami 105 distilled all his favourite things about the Index anime. Another big reason why the aforementioned poster is Good, for me, is because who's not there: Touma. Which is why I suppose I prefer the Railgun manga so much more -he's just an occasional cameo supporting chara.
Finessing the Shizu-sama Doctrine
Theological finessing of doctrine is important. It's been said that: 'Theology is a device for helping agnostics to stay within the Church of England.' Likewise for anime doctrines.
Index anime poisoned by Railgun manga
Paraphrasing Author, I can understand why some avoid manga while watching an anime based on it. In this specific instant, it was also a case of being poisoned by Mentar. :3
Index could certainly do with MOAR Biri Biri. Aroduc proposes: 'Really, all that they need to do is give Mikoto more screen time.' Kuroko too. And a manga-influenced 53RG10 seconds. But I'd probably be happier with either a spin-off thirteen episode series or a four ep OVA based on the Railgun manga.
I managed to order the first volume (Ch 1-7) from the local Kinokuniya at only SGD 10.89 but, for some mysterious reason, they couldn't order the second so I spent JPY 3,000 (SGD 49.34) to get it from Amazon.jp Marketplace and another SGD 21.00 on Vpost shipping. Certainly an eye-popping amount for just one volume but it's been ameliorated by the special Index poker set. And, most importantly, I've been really enjoying both volumes. Being an old-fashioned kind of person, I somehow find the physical sensation of reading a physical book more enjoyable than reading off a computer screen.

In US politics, having the Big Mo' (momentum) has sweep candidates to power. But the British have a saying: 'A week is a long time in politics.' Likewise, for anime series, momentum can diminish, even disappear, over the span of a week or two.
4 week into Fall Anime – Final 4 picks
4 weeks into the new season and I surprise myself by dropping 2 of my initial picks, yet usher in a new series to chalk up a final tally of 4 on my to-watch list. Indeed, Fall 08 is proving to be a pivotal season in restoring my flagging anime mojo. It's been quite a while since I've been so hyped over so many new series within the same season and I have high expectations that these babies would mature to become anime greats. Haruhi tells me that many of these lovelies would be bagging those numerous year-end blog awards (if they continue their excellent run that is).
In ascending order of love, here's my FINAL 4 Fall picks.
Reserving Judgment
Given how I've been grabbing and then watching the raw of the latest episode of Index, I can safely say that this is the series that most excites me this season. The big drawback, however, is that my Japanese language ability is very limited and I often don't get the best out of the anime. The process for Index Ep 4 went something like:
