Aoi Hana 6-8

Fumi never gets to deliver her bouquet to Yasuko after seeing how much the latter still loves Kagami-sensei.
LOL at how it seems that only the ladies have actually read Wuthering Heights; the closest I've come into contact with it was the Kate Bush song.
Aoi Hana 4
Sleepy covers the positives of this episode in her delightfully inimitable style.
But I can't help but feel that the end of Fumi x Yasuko (Sugimoto-senpai) has already been foreshadowed in two ways. First, the 'Mistress of the Library' which hints at something between Yasuko and Kagami-sensei, with the former (or, even worse, both of them) still having unresolved feelings. Second, Fumi's (strongly self-aware) hesitation at asking Yasuko about it was just such a strong contrast to her coming out to Akira. Which also lays further foundations for Fumi x Akira. Gah, no such thing as making omelettes without breaking eggs, eh?

FIRST KISS YEA
I've been looking forward a lot to this series even though I know next to nothing about it other than the sketchiest details and general buzz in the yurisphere. Not having seen any of the manga, I was completely caught off guard by how quickly Kyouko got shot down by Sayako who then more or less pounced on Fumi on the rebound. I haven't seen a hetero romance anime with this velocity of circulation, at least one that doesn't have a Der Ring des Nibelungen type ending.
Hand-holding (YEA) and Childhood Friend status aside, I have absolutely no idea how the Fumi x Akira pairing is going to happen (I'm assuming it's going to happen since the OP hath spoken) but I am looking forward to see how it unfolds.
Bonus LOL cookie for Youko's hilarous Malloryism. So nice to see that the in-story reaction to yuri high school romance has moved on from OMG ITS END OF WORLD to Ufufufu~

A childhood friend is fine too
I have been tracking this series on my radar ever since Admiral Erica, over at Yuri General Staff HQ, gave advanced warning of the most anticipated yuri anime of 2009. Besides I really enjoyed my visits to Kamakura too.
Have read complaints that the Aoi Hana manga is boring and I was worried that crybaby Fumi would annoy me tremendously but the seemingly innocent conversation between Chizu and Fumi, with all those emotional undercurrents there from the outset but only coming to the surface in the wake of cake, bodes well for my enjoyment of this show.
