My favourite episode of the series so far with Nobue teasing Miu just a bit too much. And probably also my last post on this series. Really need subs to follow the best parts - Miu's off-tangent wacky outbursts - and have only been able to find them up to Ep 6. Nobue fails to raid Chika's piggy bank again and after a bizarre Miu-inspired session of playing doctor and nurse, she gets a job as a waitress in the local diner. Inevitably, she is found out by Ana who brings to the whole gang to oogle. Whereupon Miu leads the charge to feast on ice cream, on Nobue's expense, like rabid but oh-so-cute baby vultures. A food fight ensues, leaving Nobue with just enough money left over to buy a packet of cigarettes.

Absolutely hilarous episode. Miu has got it so bad for Nobue. LMAO. And it's quite ironic that Nobue is working for the sake of feeding her ciggie habit and that her workplace forbids smoking.

Matsuri helps Ana practice English in school. Ana decides to do her secret training in the privacy of her home and invites Matsuri over on Sunday afternoon. On Sunday, Nobue is 'lured' to Miu's room by Miu's 'kidnapping' of Matsuri who only manages to leave for Ana's house after being affixed in nekomimi attire by Nobue. Miu promptly describes Nobue as 'oyaji' - with the dirty old man connotation. Loved how Nobue stomps on Miu. Rather like the way Yumi and Yumi's dad occasional description of Sei in the MariMite novels (I know this via notes by Okazu.) Nobue, Chika and later Miu invite themselves into Ana's home, much to her consternation. Miu is introduced to the Coppola family dog the hard way. Ana seems to look up to Nobue, calling her 'Oneesama' with that oh-so-sweet Shimako intonation. Aaah. Btw Ana's English sucks. Rather like my Chinese. -_-;; Characters have all been introduced and the interaction is really warming up.

Ichigo mashimaro 01-02

Decided to give this series a try despite the lolilicious style of art due to the positive buzz from the yuri and family friend kawaii blog communities. And enjoyed it much to my surprise. The main characters are really young so the art style is actually appropriate. The soft slightly off-focus pastely background scenes with plenty of real life detail was also pleasantly different.
