Unite brothers and sisters of Magikano fandom! No more will we be silent! Let us shed the cloaks of darkness to show everyone that we, the glorious Magikano adherents, are not a depraved people fetishing after neko-mimi meido mahou shoujos (Thanks Hasselich). Yes we are much more than that! We delight also in siscon, money-loving lolitas, animal cosplays and pantsu-snatching witch hunters! Let us be free of the bondage of secrecy and prejudice! Even if we are shunned/hunted down as chickens with H5N1, we will not deny the truth that shines forth from us.
Now fellow believers in Magikano, to complete our ardous journey of emancipation, we shall now openly declare our love for the Magikano girls by participating in a simple ritual known as "The Poll". Yes, the public affirmation of your belief in Magikano is just a click away. (See sidebar)

Magikano 03
I thought it was thoroughly ironical that Ayumi (played by Nogawa Sakura san who also voiceacted my favorite-est imouto in ALL of animesphere, Asakura Nemu) condemns Maika for siscon activities. Kudos to Nogawa san for an excellent portrayal of a semi-evil, half-mad witch in Ayumi without ever lapsing into Nemu or Shiho's voices. (Incidentally I LOVE Ayumi's character and believe she's KEY in making Magikano work.)
Anyhow, Magikano 03 continues the legacy of the cast's crazy capers albeit with a slight siscon flavour. Personally, I see Maika catching up with Nemu in siscon greatness. I mean can ANY brother resist this?! (Sakura -=Fate/Stay night=- can also learn a few things from Maika on fending girls off her precious onii-chan/senpai. But it's not all insane hijinks. There was a Kaede moment. I actually held my breath, recalibrated my pulse for some serious plot to kick in... only to realise the Kaede moment is going to get as many spoofs as Neo dodging bullets in Matrix 1.
Ah well there might be a good reason for Maika's unhealthy devotion to Haruo (hopefully to be fully explained in future). But for now, having a siscon gene is sufficient grounds for her smothering sibling love.

Magikano 01-02
Very sly brother... very sly indeed
There is only one other person in the world who knows my terrible weakness and he had to send me this screencap, to tempt me. Tormented nightly in my dreams by the screencap, I finally relented and descended into Magikano, expecting to be consumed by the mindless mediocrity that so plague the harem scene. Imagine my horror when I found myself laughing out loud and thoroughly enjoying ep 1.
Burning with shame, I caught the next ep in a bid to redeem myself by condemning it to anime hell..... I enjoyed the 2nd even more than the 1st and I have since learnt to indulge in the guilty pleasures derived from catching this series.
Magikano is Maburaho meets 2x2 Shinobuden. It has cute magical girls slugging it out for the useless male lead and is chock full of rapid SD gags that hits you like successive whirlwinds. There were some scenes I didn't dare to blink for fear of missing a punchline or a joke since they were raining them on the audience, hurricane-styled.
I really don't expect very much from the series but one thing is clear from ep 1 and 2, I WILL be entertained. And I have my good brother and Ender (with his Feb list) to thank for highlighting this series. Well Brother, here's returning the favour. Hope you join us on the Dark side soon too.
