Mai Otome 0 S.ifr 3
Things got a bit emo in the second episode but I've been won over by the surprisingly strong (for SUNRISE, that is) ending. Most important for me was how much respect I gained for Sifr; in contrast, I could never feel very much for Arika or Nina. What a fantastic diatribe she delivered to the Columns! 'I will not die for your convenience!' is going to be a favourite anime line of mine for a while to come. This, in turn, put a definitive end to Lena's funk so she can go and kick some serious ass for great justice.
Mai Otome 0 S.ifr 2
Evirus compares Moms. I'm more focused, of course, on the blonde yuri character who apparently is also the girl of Rena's dreams. :3 It's like seeing a level-upped Erstin. :3
Not surprisingly I enjoyed most about this second episode is how Elli-chin's love for Rena trumped her duties as a Column. In the first episode, the Ellis x Rena angle was mostly played only for lesbian sexual harassment laughs but the conflict of feelings in the former had already arisen over her orders to kill a Schwarz-captured Sifr versus Rena's mission to protect her.
Mai Otome Zwei 4
Despite all my bellyaching about Mai HiME's reset ending and the trashiness of Mai Otome, I still have a big soft spot for Mai Tokiha. Not least because she is my favourite Mai Nakahara role; I just can't resist her boing... I mean voice.
Mai Otome Zwei 2
I really enjoyed this episode. Psycho Tomoe is always a pleasure to watch. Also nice how Chie got a big role (and the most number of WTF facial expressions); not surprisingly, she has a fan club of screaming fangirls! I wonder what Aoi would say. 
Shizuru GET Pretty Girl
"She's definitely getting a pretty girl right now," was my favourite line from Mai Otome Zwei Ep 1. Gal's knowing comment about Shizuru's wandering ways and Natsuki's annoyed response was pure winnage. While Shizuru Fujino's psychotic obsession with Natsuki Kuga, in Mai HiME, was a focus of much OMGSOHAWT fanboyism, I enjoyed the tantilising crumbs of the Shizuru Viola x Natsuki Kruger relationship in Mai Otome so much more. The latter relationship is a lot more settled; they're clearly very comfortable with each other. It is also tenderly playful, with a fair bit of humour from how Shizuru unsettles Natsuki by flirting with a starstruck Arika.
Mai Otome Special 6
Special that fleshes out on the details of the series - this time, it's Ers-chan's final innocent days with Arika and Nina and how the replacement photo in Nina's locket came about. There's wacky sexual humour. Overall, quite a poignant piece that works well because there was no reset for Ers-chan.
