Don't think Shinobu ever wore any footwear though...

She's definitely an experienced cosplayer - no shorts underneath but not a flash of pantsu ever

She kept in character the whole time - speaking extremely softly, deadpan expression throughout

Come to think of it, it's quite rare to see StrikerS Fate cosplay

The ever popular Asuka and Rei combi - this race queen version doesn't even appear in the TV series or movies!

Just look at the number of camera lenses pointed at them...

Mikoto and MISAKA Imouto - I just *had* to get them to pose together and was gratified that both were very receptive and sporting; loved how the MISAKA cosplayer always addressed the Mikoto cosplayer as "Oneesama"

Menma and Poppo from Ano Hana

Somehow Ano Hana just rubbed me the wrong way so I never got past Ep 5. Apparently I'm not the only one. Maybe one day I'll give it another go someday when my default emotional state is less foul.

I know next to nothing about Touhou except it's a bottomless swamp; this is Sakuya Izayou I presume?

Speaking of bottomless swamps, I've lost count of the times there's a Madoka cosplayer in the background of my photos LOL

IMHO, yuribou's early review is still BEST.

Development notes to self: This turned out quite differently from how the original concept and sketch which had both us ending up shouting "Moe!!" from the balcony of Stripey's apartment or a cliff edge with waves crashing below but it just didn't feel right as the degree of, as well as the reasons for, our respective moe for Yuki are rather different.

Mini-Summary:

Amid the conflicting world views of the other brigade members and Haruhi's increasingly dangerous changes to the world, the movie finally gets finished and screened.

Reaction:

Who did the editing and special effects of the movie? I agree that the number one suspect was Yuki since she definitely has the skill but as this was not confirmed and isn't her mission simply to observe? Though she has been playing a safety officer role throughout the filming, it could be argued that it was part of her observation duties to continue to maintain Haruhi's ignorance of her powers and the safety of Kyon (as demonstrated by her coming to his rescue against Ryoko). Argh, the mystery will continue to gnaw at me for a while.

I was also wowed by how Mikuru and Itsuki contended with each other to influence Kyon as well as Yuki's implication that she knows the truth. I was reminded of Rashomon initially - such as the idea of multiple subjectivities, the varied understandings of a single entity/event (Haruhi's nature, the origin of her powers and her relationship to the various factions) and, despite what Yuki says, a glimmer of the proof of the truth, i.e. Disappearance, which I am still really really really looking forward to. Yes, even after x9 Endless Eight. Because I so want to see Yuki's blush and her hamster pinch.
