Shop display windows have been known to exert magnetic effects on passers-by. Especially if said passer-by is Duo Duo (played by Vivian Hsu aka VIVIAN of Gundam SEED OP2, Moment) and said windows are displaying shoes. Or said passers-by are Haruhiists and said windows are displaying evil magazine posters of Jungle Cat Haruhi, Black Cat Yuki, Thunder Cat Tsuraya and Scaredy Cat Mikuru. It was neither of the above but I did do a double-take upon passing the shop window pictured above.
The Joy of Bread
Technically it should be "toast" since untoasted pre-sliced factory-made bread won't stand up to a running mouth hold. But as (1) Stripey has been using this term to describe the alternative Evangelion universe in Ep 26 for almost a decade now and (2) I am an old dog and just like the sound of "bread universe" mucho more than "toast universe".

Happy holidays to ye gentle readers! Vaguely Christmas-type post on Avemarian (character profiles in Japanese and OP download via this link), a parody of the classic, over-commercialised Evangelion and a favourite yuri series, Maria-sama ga miteru (MariMite) by M3 Animation Box. At first I thought this was just a very high quality AMV but it appears that they are planning a full-length feature at least! The basic concept is importing the MariMite characters and hierachy into the Evangelion universe as well as fusing some MariMite concepts with Evangelion plot devices.
Attack of the Rei Clones
Three layers to this post. First, some Bakuretsu Tenshi (Burst Angel) screencaps and a plug for a yuri AMV site. Second, a call for Rei clone candidates and definitional questions. Third, an assertion that more yuri can save many a lousy anime series.
