Special Command A-17

Essay crisis detected. A state of emergency has been declared in the blog area. HSNO, ordered Special Command A-17. Resumption of regular activities is forecasted for the weekend.
In other news, upgraded to WP 2.3.3 - that notification bar sure works. It's as annoying as hell. All that blog jigging for just one xmlrpc file. Hope this isn't the start of another flood of little 'urgent security it's the end of the wordpress' upgrades.
BTW pocky is delicious but I feel Kagamin's pain; have put on 2 kgs in just the past two weeks on a pack a day! OTL
Cabbage Roll Love

No, this isn't about Yoakena [obligatory link to suguru]. Inspired by Wilhelmina's Hellraiser of a cabbage roll of love.
To think that I was LOLing at Wilhelmina for making a mess of this relatively simple dish but, due to various circumstances, I struggled a bit too, had to make quite a few mods to my reference recipe too: mixed cooked (leftover) and uncooked rice, didn't use enough tomato puree, much less sugar, and half of the mince-mix wasn't wrapped because I ran out of cabbage leaves that were big enough, added Tabasco sauce and sliced fresh green chilli as toppings.
But it wasn't too bad taste-wise. The only problem now is that I've made a bit too much and probably have got two more servings to go. orz
Bamboo Blade 1-2

Normally I steer clear of sports series (unless it's actually an excuse to show beautiful girls in bum-hugging shorts). And most of the time, I associate champions of justice with idiots. At best they do have some mad skillz but are lacking in the grey matter department, like Amelia and her dad from Slayers. At worst, they talk a lot of crap but don't actually have any ability to fulfill their dubious ideals, e.g. Raki from Claymore. As such, Bamboo Blade as Sports Show x Justice really did not appeal to me at all. But enticed by Kurogane's pithy comments about Tama-chan, I gave it a try and just melted. Tama-chan has taught cynical ole me how to love a champion of justice. ~~♥
Having seen the second episode too, courtesy of the lone rawman, I feel that I can safely enjoy this series as a story about how a girl's skill at kendo allows her to make close friends and happy memories.

Fool Metal Zaku Fufufu in Nakano

On Day Two of the Tokyo expedition, this Zaku took it easy. Slept in to nurse my worn out leg servos and gyros, blogged yesterday's happenings before having lunch with an old university friend and only after that did I launch off towards Nakano Broadway via the Tozai line. Less photographs than yesterday because of the high staff to area ratio, making it much harder to get away with snapping close-up pictures of stuff and thus having a high risk of breaking the 11th Commandment.
Zaku raid on Akiba

...was what I would have liked to say about yesterday's expedition to the Holy Land. Instead it was more appropriate to describe it as Akiba raids Zaku wallet. I would orz but I also saw this marvellous sign in a basement shop with a big red circle around and line across OTL - orz is forbidden! Photography was also forbidden in most places; I had to sneak most of my shots from just outside the shops or in the corridors and stairways.
Choco Corone GET
Tracked down the delectable snack highlighted by Tsubaki and survived the lunch-time bread queue where I nearly got crushed in the sudden surge of office workers, Japanese housewives and junior college students who stampeded for the front when the chocolate wazzles came out. They are delicious BTW.
Definitely has to be eaten from the bottom (fat) end. When I tried eating my cream coronet from the top, the cream got squeezed out pretty quickly and I had to do it Kona-style, i.e. flip it upside down, lick the excess off and flip it back, repeat. No more such hassle for the chocolate coronet, eating it in a spiral, following the swirl of the bread itself gave a nice balance of bread and surprisingly rich, buttery and smooth chocolate filling.
EDIT: Gah, I spelt it wrong in the post title! orz
Food for Feena Fandom

Zyl: Oh yeah, I read Suguru's insane rant full of hatred. LOL
Stripey: Yeah, the game CGs are really good. Such fantastic character design. When I think about what Doumu has done to the characters, I just... *sniff* *sniff* Feeeeeenaaaa.... *sobbing*.... Cabbage.... *sobbing* Maaaaai.... *sobbing*
Kabitzin Bane

Well, actually more like Lisianthus Bane (re: SHUFFLE! Ep 5 and I wonder what Kikyou's feelings are on this matter). Nonetheless one suspects that the double combo sliminess of okra and nattou will probably not find favour with the Administar of the Sea Slugs! Team either.
